Late Friday Tuesday Meme

Good evening, a quick dip in the pool and the dog even got a nice, refreshing bath...and now we are settling in for the evening. I haven't been able to sleep all week, it just has been so hot, and we have been getting late evening overnight storms, yes, we have central ac and ceiling fans, but it just so hot. Anyways, how about the Tuesday Meme? Thanks Annie, truly appreciate these memes.

1. A movie theme song will play every time you walk in the room... what is it? (consider asking family or friends). Ummm....

Let's Go Crazy by Prince from Purple Rain.

2. What movie are you eager to see... Hmm...nothing at the moment. I keep on wanting to see When the Crawdads Sing-I did read the book. I also want to see the new Practical Magic 2. What book are you eager to read... I have been wanting to get my hands on the new Laura Childs Teashop Books--but I haven't-I'm like 2 years behind in reading that series. What TV program are you interested in most? I like a lot of HGTV...really not one in particular.

3. Is there a book/movie/TV program you often think about or that affects you in some way?
There are many books that affect me, two in particular:
Just Jones and the Noticer Returns by Andy Andrews-I do have those books. He has a wonderful style of storytelling; those books are based on true events. Of course, movies and tv shows too.

4. OK friend, it's your turn to organize our Blogger Movie Night where we get together as a group for snacks and movies!  What movies have you planned for us tonight and what snacks are we going to have? Practical Magic 1 and 2, and perhaps the Mission Impossible series. Popcorn, ice-cream, pizza, snow caps or Rasin nets would be the food/snacks. Then again, when I am watching a move, I really don't like to eat, I really get engrossed with the movie. It drives the husband crazy because he is all about the popcorn and cola. When we went a couple years back to watch Maverick, yeah...I just like to sit back and get lost in the movie.

Wednesday

Good morning, somehow, I forgot to post yesterday's meme---Also, the Hodgepodge is making me think...so both will have to wait until the weekend. I am also behind in catching up with your blogs and emails.

Not really much to report on. The weather is just ugh...I see there are some severe storms rolling in either today or tomorrow and we are under another heat advisory today-yesterday's temp was 109*. So, I haven't done one of these in a while:

Whatcha' wearing?

A white blouse with pink and green flowers, blue capris and tan Sketchers. And of course, Ms. Lilly Belle, she has to be near us at all times, she probably thinks we are cray cray, lol. Anyways, wishing you all a beautiful day.

Monday Randomness

Good morning, hope this 4:30 am post finds each of you in great spirits. although I am sure the majority of you are still sleeping.

Randomness...

Y'all it is 82* and real feel is 93* with an awesome heat lightening show. At 4:32 am. Yep. Another heat advisory for today.

Yes, Pamela we got a really good storm last night...actually, most evenings we do. Yes, the Marion County Alert system went off several times.

Deb, the new teacher schedule, no, we don't have to take our vacations then. We won't have students or aides. That will be a time to get lesson plans done for the year.

Someone asked about the outdoor kitchen...

He has two deep fryers, a smoker, a griddle, a grill, and a pizza oven and a sink. I took this photo yesterday morning, we had a storm come through the night before and left it a mess. Two years ago, during a hurricane, we lost the wrought iron gazebo-a tree fell on it and the fence and it also broke the glass table. I don't sit out there anyways, as its too hot. It was quite lovely at one point in time-the four posts from the gazebo are still standing and there is Confederate Jasmine growing. He does a lot of summer cooking out there.

told you our backyard is sand and those nasty oak trees, they soak up everything. And on the left side there is a fire pit with chairs, you can barely see the pit.

Then on the other side of the yard is our small pool. We looked into getting an inground pool, unfortunately we would have to dig up the septic and the lines, and it would cost over $100,000. Yeah, not...so, my free (yep free) pool stands there. A pool is a must here in Florida. We have a long way to go to fix up the backyard, it has come a long way from when we bought the place, that is for sure as the previous person/people used it as trash dump. I would like the tv show Crashers to come and fix it up, LOL.

Speaking of cooking outside, he made a cherry pie, and it was surprisingly soooooooo good.

Well, that's all I got...wishing you a wonderful day!

Sunday Chat...

Well...I ain't got nothing Earth shattering...so here goes.

Currently @ 7:45 am

Weather...
hotter than hades could be the word. 78*. We got a storm around 5-5:30 yesterday-the thunder and lightning are something else here in Central Florida. 31% chance of late afternoon storms again.

Yesterday...
we got haircuts, got our shopping done by 11 got gas in my truck for the week, home by 11:30. Jumped in the pool for a couple of hours and got out due to the clouds and thunder rolling in. Yes, the storm didn't arrive until 5-5:30-, but nonetheless, I do not fool with thunder and lightning, nope.  It was 109* yesterday and the pool is holding steady at 90*. 90* yes folks, it is refreshing.

Hmm...Great Clips...
been going to this place for 4 years now and the last 2 years has been a revolving door of people. The male barber who had originally cut my hair retired, another person stepped in and she is gone. I am not very happy. The latest, although she was kind and straightened out the bad job before (my hair was longer on one side and not at all what I usually get or what was usually saved in their system), I just don't like this revolving door. I told hubby I guess I will have to start paying salon prices and find a regular stylist. I guess it's time to ask my mom who she goes too...both of us have fine thin hair and her haircut always looks so fresh and nice.

Publix...
we saw all these plastic containers sitting outside and hubby was commenting about it, and little did we know the store manager heard us...yes, they got an overabundance of bakery bread. LOLOLOL---Oh Lawdy...anyways, we opted out of Pub Subs, only because it was just so glorious hot out. LOL---you know how it is, when it's/ or your hot, you just want to get your things/groceries and go.

Today...

Just waiting for the sun to completely come up and then to the pool.

Hubby is putting in a beef brisket in the outdoor smoker (and potatoes and carrots).

Need to get lesson plans done for the week (I am seriously lacking the oomph to do so).

Need to iron my clothes for the week...not that it really matters, the humidity is just ugh and the clothes will just be rumpled anyways.

Trying to gear myself up for the upcoming week and the 50 different personalities that the classroom/people have, lol (blaming the heat and humidity).

Starting August 1, we are going to the 'teacher schedule'; 2 weeks at Christmas and Thanksgiving, and summer vacation. Which means, we will not hold classes--we will have teacher workdays/conferences. or you can take your vacation/ annual or sick leave.

Watched...
what did I watch? (thinking) -- Oh, a bunch of You Tube videos-some about traveling through Scotland and Europe on trains. Do you know, folks make a living off of YouTube? Wow, didn't realize one actually could.

Thankful...
for all of you who read the nonsense on here. 😄

Last photo on my phone/Making me smile...
I took this the other morning while sitting at the light to get onto 301/441 in south Ocala, Ellianos Coffee is almost open.

yep, the car says 79* and that was at 5:45 am.

I told you, nothing Earth shattering...wishing you all a beautiful day. 💗

Saturday Chat...

 Good morning.

Currently

Time: 7:35 am

Oops...did I not post for a few days? Geesh, the days just got away from me.

Weather...Another heat advisory today. It is 79* and feels like 85* already, at 7:35 am.

Did you know? Did you know, if you have an Android phone or device, you can change the voice of the Google search engine. Yep. I was playing around on my Tablet and phone last night...so, now instead of the AI woman, I now have a proper British AI gent talking to me, LOL. Just go into your settings and select Voice Assistant.

Eating/ Ate last night...hubby put in a Red Baron pizza in the pizza oven and it was really good. No heating up the house. Leftovers today.

P.S. Publix...went to two local Publix's the other day and they did not get their bread shipment in...wow...no pub subs were to be had. 😮

Watched...forcing myself last night to stay awake. Gosh, the president was one barn bridge burner last night. Then I am reminded, like me, he is up early and at it all day long and then have to wait to speak until way after what was it, 10 pm? He must have been tired. He sure sounded and looked it.

Keeping in Prayer...for this country.

Going to...hubby mentioned going down to the Villages to shop...but I really need to get my haircut. He said to do both...sigh and yawn...it's a billion degrees outside. Whineeeeeeeeeee😄😜---gosh I can be such a drama queen.

Feeling... I am sick of summer of already. LOL

Making me laugh...because it's so true...I told a student/inmate to shut up. Yep, I did. I am telling you, this weather is just affecting folks...

...and the boss just laughed and laughed his head off. He said something about

or was it, "Welcome to the dark side" sigh...lol

Wishing you all a beautiful day.

Hodgepodge

Good morning, sliding into the Hodgepodge.

1. Do your goals and dreams energize or exhaust you? Elaborate.

Listen, I know y'all thinking I am being funny...but in all seriousness, my dream is to

and live off the grid and not to have worries, well, we will always have worries, but certain worries like the cost of living. I probably spend way too much time dreaming about this. So, yeah, it probably exhausts me more than it energizes me at this point in my life.

2. July 23rd is national lemon day. Are you a fan of this flavor? Love it. What's a favorite dish or beverage you enjoy that calls for lemons? Lemonade and Lemon Bars.

3. "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"...is this something you're pretty good at managing? Have you had to do this recently? If so, tell us about it.

Usually...because being on this Earth for 59 years and dealing with life in general certainty has given me lemons. Hence why it's probably a good idea for me to do above and get away from people...lol...anyways, just this week, my one inmate aide that teaches the math part for me up and quit--well, she tried to quit and the bossman turned her down and then he fired her because she lied on me. Yeah, go ahead and burn bridges, to which she did. So, yeah, I gotta keep moving and figure this stuff out. Nothing new, just working in that environment. One has to know how to just keep going. I think it's something your born with, just saying or maybe it's the survival of the fittest. Hmm...I will have to ponder on that. 😎

4. Something you love that is lemon yellow in color? Hmm...what do I have that is lemon color? I really don't wear the color or have anything...oh wait, I do have a table runner that is yellow...yellow is not really my color. Which why the table runner is not out. LOL

5. How would you describe your attention to detail? I am a little obsessed and over the top and everyone including my coworkers know it.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I almost did...several time this week and its only Wednesday. Try dealing with 50 different personalities on a daily basis...my poor boss because he has to deal with my personality as well. 😂

Tuesday Meme

Good morning, keeping y'all in prayer who live along the Gulf Coast and expecting Bertha.

1. What brand of shampoo do you think works best for you and what does it do for you? I have used so many different brands because of the climate we live in...so, I have gone back to the expensive Paul Mitchell products. I couldn't get them up north, but luckily, I found them here. I have fine limp hair...sigh...no amount of humidity will fix that.

2. Do you use cosmetics and if so, what do you use? Yep. Revlon for foundation and concealer, Revlon #120 Magnetic eyeshadow stick, Revlon eyeliner in black, Clinique Love Pop lipstick. ---so I guess Revlon. 😄

3. Do you use a washcloth on your face? Yep, and I use cotton balls on my eyes.

4. Do you have an all-time favorite perfume or scent that you wear? If you don't wear perfumes, is there a scent that you love in general? I use perfume and pair them according to the seasons...although, my all-time favorite is Clinique Happy, Channel #5 and Youth Dew.

I'm trying, really, I am. LOL

Monday...

Good morning, another soupy day here at 5 am... It's Monday and that means my 48-hour furlough is over with 😄. ---I see Bertha has formed...you folks in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas, watch out.

What did I do yesterday?

Shucked some corn and boiled it.

...and it was sweet and very good. Other than that, nothing else. It was overcast and pretty breezy and we never got in the pool as it looked like it wanted to rain all day. So, I found some other shows on YouTube and watched that all day. I have always wanted to be brave; quite my job/the rat race and just go. I bet there is a lot more people out there in the world who want to do the same.

I truly appreciate your comments regarding my son...well, I have to get going, make my lunch (meatloaf sandwich) and get going. Have a beautiful day all.

Just a Simple Daybook

Good morning and here we are in the middle of July and sliding into August soon and another scorcher of a summer day here in the swamp lands of Florida.

Looking outside my front door window:

a bit cloudy but the sun is trying to peak through.

I am thinking...
about all the things that need to be done on this summer day...such as the dust bunnies need to be dusted or swept, ironing and so on.

Yesterday, while at the dreaded Walmart, funny thing happened...just for one brief moment, the mind played a trick. But my husband saw it too, so both of us did a double take. There was a young man picking through the corn barrel who looked like and had the same mannerisms as our son. Had the same goofy smile and all. Doppelgänger. Wow. Yeah, the mind plays tricks---then my brother-in-law calls and said something about having a Grandfather Liam on their family tree (as he was working on their family tree)---I said, out loud, no, that's a Lucas, not a Liam. So, Liam was on his mind too. Oh...and yes, we did pick through the corn barrel and got 4 ears of corn for a $1. 😄

I am thankful for...
48-hour furloughs (aka weekends) from work.

One of my favorite things...
such as yesterday when we came in from the pool, it looked like it wanted to rain (and it didn't), came in, dried off, put on a clean fresh pair of pj's and I settled on the sofa to watch YouTube. Sometimes, you just got to sit still and do nothing...Oh, and what did I watch?

Katie Roams on YouTube. Gosh, I wish I was that adventurous and young. LOL

I am wearing...
still in pj's. Pink sleep shorts and a blue tank.

In the kitchen...
Hubby is preparing a meatloaf and will bake it outside with the corn on the cob (he has a full outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven) and I will put together a blueberry cobbler he can put in the pizza oven too. Yes, folks, the pizza oven can be used for other things than just pizza.

In the school room...
sigh...I know better than to bring my job home with me...but I really need to get lesson planning done and Bell Reviews done for the week.

In my garden...
we don't have a garden, but hubby did plant some Bougainvillea along his shed. They are growing nicely or shall I say that he is training them to grow nicely, LOL.

Closing thoughts...
😄gosh aren't y'all glad I am nearly finished writing this? --I just want to say I appreciate each and every one of you who leave such lovely comments.

Currently Bertha?

Good morning. After the intense storms and heat/humidity of yesterday evening, it is extremely foggy and smokey out.

Weather...74* and cloudy. Today promises to be another rock and rolling kind of day. Well, well, well...

Bertha? Could be. A tropical low is forming in the Gulf of Mexico (sorry folks, I am not saying Gulf of America, which seems rather silly, just saying). Well, it is getting to the end of July and it's time for a storm. We shall wait and see. The flood watches and warnings have been put up, and the Gulf of Mexico is already 88*. So, yep.

Watched...I got bored with the news (hubby was watching it) so I came in here to the 3rd bedroom and watched Castle Impossible and then Crashers. Hubby ended up coming in and watching the shows as well (truth be told, we were having a spat about the news because, honestly, I am just tired of it being on 24/7 or so it seems it's either that or his "man" shows, lol).

Ate...hubby made tortellini with left over Vodka Sauce yesterday.

Listening to...the central ac just kicked on and hubby getting up and around.

Reading...I have 2 books a Debbie Macomber and another book sitting on the ottoman, have I touched them? Nope.

Enjoying...watching the Blue Angels videos from Pensacola Beach. Love, love the Blue Angels. We saw them three times in person. AWESOME!

Thinking...

What we need from the store.

What ironing needs to be done.

I have no photos on my phone to share-no wait, did I show the new rubber soft kitchen mat?

Making me go hmm and making me laugh...

Hmm...makes me wonder really, a lot of networks didn't show the current occupant of the White House prime time's speech about voter corruption, hmm...makes me think they are in on it. Just food for thought.

Hmm...can a biological man ovulate and have periods? Keeping an eye on the train wreck in the Maine elections. Especially 'Ashley Webb' who is a biological man who says he ovulates and have periods. 😏---I wonder how that works? Yep, I sure said periods. LOL--we saw that on the news last night and hubby just about fell out laughing. What is this world coming too? Just saying.

Wishing you all a beautiful Saturday.

Tuesday Meme on a late Friday...

Good evening. I hope this post finds each of you in great spirits. It has been storming since 3 pm, no fun running out to your vehicle, lol. Not complaining, it is nice to see the rain. So, time to join in (rather late) for the Tuesday Meme. So, pull up a chair and grab your favorite drink (I'm presently drinking a cup of Honduran coffee).

1. What special memories do you have about summer when you were younger? Oh gosh, when we were kids, I was shipped off to my paternal grandparents in Chicago. Then, Michigan. My grandpa didn't know what to do with a girl (lol) so he took me to horse races where he would send me up to the window to place a bet, then to O'Hara to people watch, he taught me to pick locks...gosh, those were the days, LOL.

2. What is the highest temperature you've experienced in summer?  Gosh...I can remember hot summers in Chicago where my grandparents didn't have ac and we would carry the mattresses down to the cold basement...anyways, I grew up here in Florida, so it was always hot. LOL --What about so far this summer? UGH How do you weather the heat or humidity? Central AC, folks, central ac and the pool. I told hubby when we moved back, I will have a pool, even if it meant a little kiddy plastic pool. It took nearly 4 years to get the above ground pool, LOL.

3. What's been on your menu so far this summer? UGH...sandwiches, fruit, some pasta dishes, hot dogs...things that are light. I really would like roast beef. You know, the kind my mom used to make with carrots and potatoes.

4. What is on your reading list this summer... anything to recommend to us? Hmm...I have two books sitting on the ottoman and I have not touched them, sigh.  What's on your TV this summer. I like Castle Impossible and yet to watch the season ending of that show...a lot of HGTV and YouTube.  Any music you're liking this summer? My usual, ACDC, Cinderella and some others.

That's all I have for this rainy Friday evening...wishing you all a beautiful evening.

P.S. Big oops, I forgot all about my regular dr. appt. I asked hubby did they call and he said no...hmm...goes to show you they don't care, I suppose. sigh.

Summering into the Hodgepodge

Good grief, somehow, the last two days got away from me, sorry about that.

1. "Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability." Sam Keen

Do you feel less guilty relaxing in July than you do in January? Elaborate. Hmmm...no...it's all the same to me, LOL. Florida weather and all...although in Jan. it is a bit cooler.

2. What's a telltale sign you're upset? Hmm...depending on what is making me upset, you might find me very quiet (and you really need to worry then--or as my son used to say, "RUN!"). Then other times, if I am really mad, I might burst out crying and I am also known to throw things. I am also known to tell a person off, but it all depends on the situation. I do have a bit of a temper...just saying.

3. July 16th is National AI Day. What are your general thoughts and/or experiences with AI? Have you purposely used it? I use it for lesson planning. Does it excite you, scare you, or worry you? A little of all three. What do you see as a benefit? Well, if I have a question, it usually gives me good answers, LOL. How about something relating to AI you see as a negative? It knows way too much, and how does it know too much? LOL --who are those bots inside this computer getting all these answers?

4. You're invited to a summer potluck and are asked to bring an appetizer, salad/side, or dessert. Which category do you go for and what are you bringing? It's always a dessert...and usually something from Publix.

5. It wouldn't be summer without the beach?  lol ---you see where my brain is. LOL

6. Insert your own random thought here. I ain't got /nuttin. Nothing at all. This heat/humidity is frying my brain, LOL.

Have a great day all.

We're Fine Sunday Chat...

 Good morning.

First just a quick update...We're fine Sunday Chat...

North of town, near Appleton Museum got hit with a major storm. At 3 yesterday the sky turned black and thunder / lightening and wind ensured, fortunately the storm/heavy rains passed over us here in SW Ocala, unfortunately northern Ocala got hit really hard. Word is it was an EF-0 Tornado. Unfortunately, we lost the gazebo sometime during that very weird storm. It landed in the neighbor's yard. Please keep those in prayer.

Weather...at 7:30 am it's 78* and real feel is 84* and rumbling for about an hour now and the skies are just a nasty black and blue. Have I mentioned there is Saraha Dust sitting over us? The extreme weather will be a thing again today. Weather states 100% chance of rain.

Listening to...the thunder and now light rain and the central ac just kicked on.

Got in...a couple of hours of pool time yesterday morning...unfortunately that Sahara dust is just everywhere, sigh...and yes, it's hard to breathe.

Eating/Ate...had to go get gas in my truck for the week and we stopped at Capt. D's and bought food home--the skies were just looking really unfriendly and decided to come home. Nope, never did get pizza or cake. Although we did stop at Walmart for my favorite sparkling water; Ciao San Pellegrino Blood Orange. Again, we just thought it was a good idea to get home...so we did.

Feeling...

Thinking...

It looks to be a no pool day.

Need to do some ironing and a load of whites.

What's for dinner? 😜

Thankful...for another day. No matter how much I complain about the weather.

Making me laugh...

Wishing you a lovely day. That's all I got. LOL

Currently Saturday...

 Good morning.

Currently at 7:20 am...

...and that is where/what I am. Y'all, I know I live in Florida the land of flip flops and sun filled days...but the humidity it just too much. It has been 112* all week. The pool is sitting at 92*!!!!

Weather...
another heat advisory. Currently 75* and the humidity is already 75%. Because of the extreme heat and the ac running all the time, we had turn it / the central ac up to 80*, yep. I have a feeling the electric bill is going to be way up near unaffordable soon.

Reading...
I have two books just sitting on the ottoman ready to read...and I have not touched them. sigh

Eating/Ate...
much to my "ugh" leftovers. I so wanted a pizza last night, maybe today...thanks to my boss putting that in my head yesterday. LOL

Thinking about yesterday...
not that I try to dwell on circumstances at work...but yesterday, and I'm blaming these attitudes and behavior changes on the weather---but these inmates were just plain awful and have been; belligerent and just nasty...I had had enough and ended up calling security, they were there in less a minute and I believe half of the compound security/officers were there. They know when "Conley" calls, there is a problem-which is rare. Three inmates were handcuffed and went to lock, and the rest were escorted out and 18 are waiting whatever disciplinary actions. Five were fine and were not escorted out. Those five had common sense to not get involved. What will I walk into Monday? Who knows...the boss and higher ups fully support me on how things were handled, hence why I needed a pizza and was late leaving yesterday--debriefing. It was major chaos. Understatement. This weather y'all, is just something else.

Thankful...
for those officers yesterday. They all will be getting fist bumps on Monday. We have an app at work that gives virtual fist bumps. Firm believer that extra "love" needs to be given to those first responders.

Feeling...
just hot. No matter how much the ceiling fans are going and the two box fans we have, and the pool, it's just hot...hot is the word for the day. LOL

Celebrating...
nothing...the bossman said I needed cake too...so maybe pizza and cake? LOL---he's a bad influence. 😂 No alcohol --just food. LOL

Making me laugh...

I know, an oldie, but nonetheless, it's funny. Wishing you all a beautiful day, stay cool.

TGIF

Good morning. I hope this post find you in great spirits.

I know I have only been at work for 4 days, but man, it seems like forever. The humidity is just plain awful, every day we have been under a Heat Advisory, everyday it has been between 103-112*. No joke. I told my students under no circumstances will I be going out to open the gate after a certain time and they are to be in class by so and so time, some have taken liberties on getting to class on time. Sorry, but it is very dangerous to be out in it-even for them. It is only 5 am and the temp. is already 78*, the humidity just hits you in the face, it's just ugh.

I am afraid I am no chatty Cathy this week. It is just too hot to deal with everyone's (seemingly) short tempers and such. Wishing you all a beautiful day.

Hodgepodge

Good morning... thank you for your comments on yesterday's post. Jumping right into the Hodgepodge.

1. What's something you enjoy now that your younger self would never have appreciated? Broccoli and cheese and Brussel Sprouts. lol

2. What was peaceful about today? Peaceful? Not so peaceful, I have to go have annual blood work done at 6 am and then hurry up and get to work as my first class begins at 7. Where to find time to eat, I don't know, because I had to fast. I do not look forward to having blood work done, they always leave my arm bruised.

3. It's National Blueberry Day (July 8). Will you celebrate?  You can have one of the following right now-a slice of blueberry pie, a warm blueberry muffin, or a stack of blueberry pancakes...which do you choose? Hmm...love blueberry pancakes, I do have two cans of Oregon blueberries, so maybe I will make a cobbler than.

This or that-blueberries or raspberries? blueberries or strawberries?  all of it...love blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. I like to put them in my yogurt.

4. Do you need a break? From what? LOLOLOL--Well, I have certainty loved being off of work for 10 days...now, if I can only think of a way to

...and sell seashells by the seashore. LOLOL

5. What has surprised you most about getting older?  ... to be honest, nothing really surprises me anymore. Sure, I go "Wow"--but nothing really just surprises me. When our son passed away, it just took everything out of me, just keeping it real. You know what, it does surprise me of the younger generation wanting to go socialism, but should I be surprised? Probably not, history is really not being taught anymore and that just breaks my heart...teachers and professors are just too far left leaning for me, and these young minds are just falling for whatever. I see it in my nephews and nieces...and it's just sad. I experienced when I went back to school/college...I am surrounded by it at work...it's just sad. The hatred of one person who holds the highest office is just so sad...I could go on and on...but I will stop.

I probably should re word this question, "What has saddened you most about getting older?"

I pose this question every single day to myself...just being silly.

--where did 59 years go?

--hey, where did that line on my face come from?

--hey, how's come everything goes pop and crunch?

--then the startling reality, when the 300th America's birthday comes up, I will be long gone as I will/would be like over 100 yrs. old and our nieces and nephews will be our age. Yikes...got to get that thought out of my head.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Have a beautiful day all.

Tuesday Meme...

Good morning, back to work today. Grr...😉

Welcome to Tuesday 4 which was started by our friend Toni Taddeo and kept up in memory of her.  Different sections of the USA have different words and customs they use. Let's talk about
them.
1. In New Jersey you put your groceries in a paper bag or plastic bag. In Athens, Ohio where I went to university, you put them in a paper sack. Is it bag, sack or something else where you live? Bag. When we lived up north, it was sack. And when we moved back here, we were shocked that bags were given out, plastic bags are a no no in NY-at least where we lived. I remember giggling like a schoolgirl and realizing how free we were, not so much where we lived before. Yep, over a stupid plastic bag, LOL.

2. Though no one seems to wear them anymore, NJ says Stockings. Athens, Ohio used to call them "hose" and in Britain they are tights. What about where you live?
Stockings. At least that is how I was raised to say it.

3. Soda, Pop, Coke? Pop, I was born in Indiana and spent summers in Chicago and Michigan. Floridian's say Soda and Alabamian's say Coke. (we spent nearly 20 years in Alabama). I have been corrected on several occasions that it is SODA. Nope, pop for me.

Hero, sub, grinder, hoagie? Sub. Up north it was a hoagie.

4. Shopping cart or trolley, buggy? cart. Up north it was a buggy.

Wishing you all a beautiful day.

Currently Hello Monday!

Good morning and hello Monday! Apologies for being a little late in posting, I decided since it was my last day of vacation, I would sleep in.

P.S. Since this question was asked, yes, Rural King is just like Tractor Supply, Ocala has like 2, 3 maybe 4 Tractor Supply stores and numerous Tack/Horse stores. Since, supposedly, we are the horse capital of the world.

Currently at 8 am...

Weather...80* real feel is 86* and sunny. Heading out to the pool soon.

Watched...hmm...I do believe I fell asleep on the couch at like 7:30 last night...vaguely remember Mark Levin and then Trey Gowdy and then something on You tube.

Listening to...the washing machine and hubby washing dishes, he made French toast for breakfast.

Eating/ate last night...we came home from a visit with my parents and I made:

Sausage stuffed Tortellini with Vodka Meat Sauce. It was good.

P.S. Bad behavior...my mom insists she be called Mrs. (insert last name), we have been married for nearly 40 years...anyway, hubby called her by that Mrs....I swear, those 2 are getting on my nerves. Bad behavior on both parts, on purpose. Both my father and I said something...it doesn't make a hill of beans difference, enough. Both are just ugh-snipe, snipe, snipe.

Makes me wonder...what did you or do you call your in-laws? I call my mother in-law by her first name.

Aldi...yesterday went to Aldi. I really like that store. Anyways, walking down the household/sale aisles and we found this rubber kitchen mat for $1.49 regularly $12.99:

Feeling/Keeping it real...the dog days of summer. Actually, it's been summer for a few months now. The heat/humidity is running pretty thin. 👽

Enjoyed...having the last 10 days off. Really don't want to go back to work, with that said, I think hubby is ready for me to go back, LOL. Just saying. 😂

Never did get around to...the beach, Lakeland or even Interlochen to see friends 😉. Vacation was pretty lazy...to come to think of it, I don't think I have been on 'vacation' for this long.

Making me laugh...

Wishing you all a beautiful day.
