Yay! Finished typing up the final paper late last night (24 pages). All I have left is the Bibliography to type up (won't take much time) and then I can send it off. That's all I got folks. Thankful there is no more screaming, crying and wanting to commit bloody murder. Hey, just keeping it real.{{grin}}

Our nimroad governor has SHUTDOWN doctors and dentists. Yep. EVERYTHING essential (and I think dr. and dentists are essential) is closed. My husband really has to see the dentist, he broke a tooth. But, nope, EVERYTHING is closed.
4. What's something that makes you feel youthful? Something that makes you feel 'not so youthful'? Tell us why.
Right now, sitting in this blasted chair for 10 hrs a day for the past week typing up this final paper. My back and tailbone have about had enough, so yeah, that makes me feel old.
Feel youthful? I don't know...probably when I see kids out playing and having fun.

Aren't I just a ray of sunshine this morning? (not and I know I'm not). Today is the final push to finish typing up the final paper. These last 15 pages have turned into a nightmare. Then I will spend tomorrow proofreading and typing up the Bibliography. Lucky for Word as they have a spell and grammer check embedded. Just saying...which is the reason why for the nightmare and also I have been adding the footnotes as I go; 72 and counting.
Thank you for the comments yesterday and to answer Sparky who commented about what IF the teacher didn't read my paper. I happen to know for a fact he pays particular attention to my papers. This is the very same professor who nominated me for a summer internship (out of the blue). And here, I had no idea he even knew who I was. I have had his classes twice now, and when I went to him about a Directed Study, he gladly accepted. So, I know for a fact he reads EVERY single page (because he makes comments etc.)😏

Loving: Having hubby and son read my notes out loud, this typing the final paper is a family project/affair.
Thinking: Worried about not finding a job IF or WHEN this shutdown finally lets up. I'm $71,000 in debt of student loans. Sobering.
Feeling: Anxious to get this paper done (has to be done by Friday). Also, feeling anxious about the prospective job market.
Celebrating: Not much...just keeping it real.
Grateful for: My husband and son who have showed unwavering support for the last 4-5 years of this school adventure. Hang on guys, almost done.

Enjoying: I can actually see the end is in sight; this paper will be done and then Spanish final on May 8. Then I am done.

We escaped Friday evening and took a drive. A short one, nonetheless, but a drive. Since we have "custody" of my mother in-laws car, it had to be driven (or the battery will die).

We got it from North Country and I picked out the Castine Harbor Bell. I also picked out the red crab and had our name in engraved. The sound is very relaxing, at least I find it relaxing.
I saw your comments yesterday...what is drawing us to Maine or NH? I don't know. I personally like New Hampshire's motto; Live Free or Die. Indeed, they have no state income or sales tax, also, you can register your ATV and drive it on the road. We thought about moving back south, but honestly, I am just done with tornadoes, hurricanes and humidity. Yes, we get humidity up here, but only for a short time.

It's just a lot, no excuses...it is what it is. So, that is where we are at. Not really wanting to move, but will have to move. Yep. Coffee is our 11 year old German Shepherd. His mama was a White Belgian Shepherd and his daddy was the normal saddle back German Shepherd. He is super smart and the ongoing joke is he will let you in but won't let you out. He is very picky and will choose "his" people.
3. What are some pet projects in your life?
Finishing typing up this final paper for the Directed Study and start cracking down on moving.
4. Do you feed the birds or other animals in the wild?
Yes, we have a bird feeder in the front of the house. They also congregate in the bushes and tweet all day and all night.
Another front, I wanted to briefly mention this. I know the majority of you saw this on FB. Yesterday, I had to go pick up my prescription (for whatever reason, it failed to be sent via mail) and lo and behold, a county sheriff deputy was standing at the entrance of Walmart to enforce Cuomos Executive Mask Order, yep. First time, warning, next a $500 fine, next time jail. AND when we got home Liam came running in (he was out exercising-riding his bike) and was pulled over for not wearing a mask. YEP. My dad, "Linda, that's called a Police State, get the hell out when you can." I will leave it at that. This what NY has become. Enough. My personal pet peeve, dude/Cuomo, you are stomping all over the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, enough.
Breaking house arrest yesterday. For the those of you who stay in regular contact with me, you know I'm calling this quarantine "house arrest". By the time we got out and about it was already cloudy and quite nippy.

Sans mask. We are not complying. We decided to just make a break for it and walk around the corner to the high school. While I was standing there (over 6 feet away mind you), I noticed there was a red pick up truck there and the people were watching and pointing. So, I turned around and starred and waved. This "tattle tailing" has to go folks. We don't live in communist China, period. By the way, a police officer did come by and waved at us.
Son and husband. Happier times prior to entering Canada on foot. I am dreaming of those happier times when we were free from government nonsense.

Pondering: So, yesterday, hubby went out to check his mothers PO Box and he had to stop at Walmart to pick up milk. They wouldn't allow him in due to he didn't have a face mask. So, I decided to write a email to corp. Walmart about this (since their website clearly states its not mandatory), so, it has become a back and forth issue/email campaign with them. They are yielding to Cuomo's Executive Order, which is not law by the way. You know, these folks think they can just make orders or decrees, who thinks their king now? Just wondering, thoughts to ponder. Wake up folks, "more is to meet the eye" so to speak. By the way, hubby put his sweatshirt over his mouth and they allowed him, eventually. And once in , he dropped it. He said and I quote, "Fascist bull crap." In America. Yep.
One last thought, according to Bing and Google Fascist; a person who is extremely right wing or authoritarian. Hmm...interesting how they change the algorithim's.
