Yes. But with that said, I am also a realistic person.

Can't think of just one time, but I think we all have days when our confidence needs a boost.

I grew up with the Doobies. I love Michael's voice. My dad use to say, "What a fool believes, they deserve what's coming." We discussed this very topic the other day.

With all the museums and monuments, our nation's capital could be a great place for a kid to grow up ... except sometimes we take the advantages of our hometown for granted. Tell us about a nearby museum, park, theater, etc., you'll visit again when this period of crisis is over and it's agreed that it's safe to do so.
Oh, walk across to Canada again (the men who guard both sides are great!), head back up to Lake Ontario/Oswego, Keuka Lake...so many things...

Movie: Interstellar. We were suppose to watch Little Women the other day, but we never got around to it.
Radio: We escaped house arrest last night and took a short drive...and we listened to the 80-90's station. Nirvana's Apologies was on and it has stayed in my head. I love Nirvana. Yes, I know Curt killed himself and was a cocaine user. He was a literary genius, just my opinion of course.

We answered #1 kind of the same. I always say I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist. Someone has to be one at times. I want to see the new Little Women, too. I've liked all the other versions and it is my all-time favorite novel. Let me know what you think if you see it.

You do crack me up! The last time, which is why I remember it so well, that my sister and I went out for lunch, there was a broom leaned against the wall beside our table. The waitress requested our permission to remove it lest it had been our means of transportation. I did not laugh. I gave my sister one of these: 😏. Today, I am chuckling. One thing is sure: I need to lighten up.

ReplyDeleteYa, I get being a realist. When Tom (used to) accuse me of being a Negative Nelly I'd have to explain, no, there's a difference. Same goes for Pollyanna personalities … sometimes I want to shake them. LOL.

ReplyDeleteAlso believe you have to be realistic. I would say I try to be realistic in an optimistic way, though right now, I am very pessimistic about Americans and their stupidity.
I love Nirvana too! They were hugely popular when I was in college. I loved them so much that people asked me I was ok when Kurt was found dead. I still love them. I hear them on the radio quite a bit when I am listening to the 80's/90's stations.
