Tuesday Meme...and a couple of photos

 Good morning.

Just a Tuesday thought.

Autumn evenings were always special when I was a kid. The day ended early, and the family gathered in the living room where my mother and grandmother watched a little TV and my father sat on the sofa reading and smoking his pipe.  My parents enjoyed a cup of coffee and sometimes a snack.

1. Does your life go along in the same way all year or do things change with the seasons? My life keeps going along the same way...I get home from work, change my clothes into pjs', wash my face and get all the makeup off, sit down, eat dinner and watch tv for about an hour. We really don't have a change of seasons here. Although, I have been noticing some color changes in the trees.

2. Do you have a favorite meal on the chilly night? I like soup or chili.

3.  Do you have a snack while you watch TV or read? Sometimes. I really like Sahale snacks. They have nuts & dried fruits. And sometimes it's a bowl of frozen yogurt or a cup of decaf. coffee.

4. Do you have a fireplace in your home? Nope. This is Florida, like we really need one. However, my parents have one. My mom always wanted one and Dad had one put in.

Today's blouse by Alfred Dunner, red sailboats and blue polka dots.

...and coming home yesterday evening, what did my little eyes spy? Cows that made me smile.

---Have a great day all---

  1. Lovely blouse, Linda! Fall always screams comfort food to me. That reminds me, I need to pick up a small carton of milk so we (meaning the husband) can make mac 'n cheese. Have a good day.

  2. I adore cows and sheep! I hope they weren't going to slaughter. :( Enjoyed your answers. When I lived in Florida I didn't know anyone with a fireplace. Except Disney World resorts and theirs used something that didn't put out any heat. Loved that!

  4. I love that blouse, Linda. We have a fireplace with gas logs, but even in the winter, we rarely use it. Georgia can get cold, but not that cold. Blessings!

  5. Pretty blouse! Cows are smile makers along with horses I think. I guess we do just sail along hoping for better shores but sometimes I raise the sails and turn the rudder hard in a new direction. I remember August in Miami. My mother in law (Ive had 2 of those) was a native of Miami and we spent August with her. Florida was like a sauna but at 20 years old it was no big deal. Night was a steam room but the smell of night blooming jasmine in her yard was lovely. The ocean was hot as a bathtub but I got to swim in it and lost my bikini bottoms in the surf.. my hubby retrieved them for me! I hope today is a wonderful day for you. Hugs.

  7. I love that your dad had a fireplace put in to make your mother happy! I bought myself an electric variety a few years ago; Tom doesn't "get" my fascination -- but I'm not losing sleep over it.

  8. Did you MOO at the cows? I always do. I know, I'm crazy. Sometimes they moo back at me. LOL. Happy Autumn nights. It's trying to cool down and be less humid, isn't it???I keep hoping. I love autumn, especially here in Florida, where it seems like autumn all winter long. :)
