Good morning...hope this post finds you in great spirits.
Currently in my neck of the world...
Weather...feels like 76* at 7:30 am. Calling for 80% chance of rain today this afternoon.
Celebrated...our godsons 40th birthday yesterday evening. I can't believe I have been part of his life for 40 years. Where have 40 years gone?
Went to his beautiful new home...the last time we went out there (Citrus Springs) it was in December. The weather was so uncooperative for a cookout. They did manage to get a few burgers grilled in-between the rain.

So proud he made Sgt. at the sheriff's department.
When we were leaving at 8:30, the sky was an awesome pink/orange color.
Thinking...I just don't know what to do regarding the work issue...Each and every one of friends (law enforcement and firemen) yesterday said to be careful because of retaliation etc. Unfortunately, it is the environment we work in. Not just the inmates but the fellow employees. I know what I should do...I will just say that. Florida does have a 'whistleblower act', but it will do little to truly protect me. I got plenty of 'talking' too.
Watching...what did we watch last night? Thinking...can't really remember. LOL---I blame it on way too many cupcakes, LOLOL.
What's for dinner? (I added that one) --meatball subs. Since we won't be able to BBQ later today.
Listening to...not much. The central ac just came on.
Thank you/Grateful...for all the kind comments regarding the work issue. I truly appreciate it.
Smiling at...
Now, Calvin. LOL--But ah so true.
Wishing you all a beautiful day.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset. God paints beautiful pictures.
Sorry you're having trouble at work. When I was working, I've had issues mostly with other women. Happens often, unfortunately. That's why I enjoyed being a 'temp' in a business office. I never had to stay or get embroiled in whatever's phony bologna drama these women make up was going on, I did my work, got paid, then left. Moved on to the next assignment. It was like being a contractor. It was wonderful. A lot less stress. ๐
Sending prayers for peaceful days. ๐
Love ya. ๐
Looks like a great Birthday celebration (in spite of the rain) and I am sending Birthday wishes to your God son. Linda...I am keeping you in my prayers for this job situation. Praying that not only will surround you with a hedge of protection, but that your boss and other employees will recognize their wrongs against you.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful you were able to get out and enjoy yourself at that gathering.
ReplyDeletePraying for wisdom for you in knowing how to handle things at work.
I am glad you went and celebrated your godson's 40th birthday. Congratulations to him on being a sergeant in the sheriff's department. Woohoo! Continued prayers for you, your safety and your well being, Linda.
ReplyDeleteGlad you could celebrate with your godson!! Nice get-away for you. Keep us posted about the job situation. Be careful!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your godson. My nephew turned 40 this summer and we had a celebration. It was fun. I am glad you got to spend some time with him. Loved your answers. Have a nice day!

Well, having to navigate a difficult workplace situation is difficult but nothing is too hard for God if you see His wisdom and counsel. Try to focus on expressing the fruit of the Spirit, such as love, patience, and kindness as you “grow” through these challenges with grace and reflect Christ's love to those around you. Unbelievers are always watching us. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and congrats to your godson! Don't let your work issues get out of hand, watch yourself. Sending you a ((hug)) because I care.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. The barbecue at your Godson's home sounds like it was a nice event. I think you got VERY GOOD advice about your work situation. Let me just say that I have been going through something similar. I reported misconduct of another teacher but I was the one who got in trouble, and now I have a new teaching assignment (for my last year before retirement). Unfortunately, that is the world we live in. It sounds like things are similar in Florida to what I have been experiencing in Utah. I hope things work out. Have a good week. I will pray for you.
ReplyDeleteI think your fellow officers gave you some sound advice, Linda. I'll be saying prayers for you as Monday rolls around. I know you've got it tough in that work environment. God bless!
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in my prayers for wisdom in all things. That pretty much sums it up, doesn't it? I always include your safety, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were in such good company yesterday, and that they gave you excellent advice and words of wisdom. Praying for you this week as you return to work. May God surround you with His presence and give His angels charge over you, to protect you in every way. May God give you wisdom as you deal with those in authority over you as well as with those you are there to "teach". May God go before you and clear the path to peace. May God give you an advocate who will speak on your behalf. Your friends here in blogland are all praying! God's got you covered real good!! (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your godson on his promotion!!! I'm lifting bold prayers for your safety in the coming days.
ReplyDelete40 years does go pretty fast when you aren't thinking about it! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am praying for you right now. I am hoping that you were safe today.
