Outside my window… It is 72* and sunny.I am thinking… How fast the weekend goes by.
- I am thankful…for the chance to be a mom for 24 years. Although, my heart is heavy, but ever so thankful we had 24 years.
- In the kitchen… Not sure...Breakfast? I don't know. Hubby made tacos last night and they were a bit spicy. Today? I am not sure.
- I am wearing… pink sleep shorts with hearts on them and a black tank. (yep, still in pj's)
- I am creating… hmm...nothing? I am going to bake a cake later, does that count?
- I am going… No where but the pool today. Hubby is going to go put gas in my truck and stop at Publix.
- I am reading… nothing of importance. I really ought to get my lesson plans done--I am teaching about WW2 this week. After a delightful meeting with the bossman and going over the curriculum that was written by his secondhand man, I pretty much aired my dissatisfaction with things left out such as WW1, WW2, Cold War and Vietnam. They are on the GED after all. I was given permission to go back to the 16 weeks Calander (it was changed to 8 weeks) and start adding things back etc. Win win.
- P.S. I will no longer entertain discussing anything with that person. Nor are they (the 2nd and 3rd person in charge) allowed into my classroom anymore. That 3rd person came in and sat for the full 7 hours to "evaluate" me. That is a no no.
- I am hoping…For an end to the insanity in the nation and the world. (Amen Annie!!!)
- I am looking forward to…Friday.😁🤣😉
- Around the house… hmm...nothing. Really need to finish the kitchen, but neither of us really have any get up and go. LOL

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had time in your pool yesterday.....that sounds lovely. I can't imagine the kind of loss you went through. My friend from TN lost her daughter to a drug overdose and that was devastating too...only 18 yrs old! Hugs from NYS.

I'm glad you had a pool day for Mother's Day...or did you get rained out? We had thunderstorms here yesterday, and some rain today too, for which we are very thankful...but when you want to be in the pool, well, we hope you had sunny skies! I know that your Mother's day was difficult. But I am glad to see that you are looking for positive things and also that you have sweet and wonderful memories of Liam to carry you through. I do get it...how I wish I could pick up the phone and call Matthew. I miss hearing his voice so much. It would've been nice to hear from his son Noah, but that didn't happen. He just doesn't understand how much that would mean to us. Someday maybe he will, but I hope he doesn't wait too long.We aren't getting any younger. I am praying for you to have a pleasant and positive week. I can well imagine what a great teacher you are. I bet you make history interesting! I wasn't much of a history student...I think a lot has to do with the teacher. Take care my friend. God is with you. Always.
