Good morning. Welcoming the month of
Just some random thoughts...It's hard to believe it's May. April was pretty dry weather wise; here is to be hoping for rain today. The Weather Channel says its 93% chance of severe weather later this morning into the evening. It sure feels like it could rain. It's Currently 71* and the humidity is 81%. It is just "ick". And it is only May 2. The pool already says 85*.
What did we watch last night? I have to think...I might had taken a nap but at 9 pm I did watch Lottery Dream Home.
Listening? I hear the well pump running as hubby is outside putting more water in the pool. Due to the drought, he is being careful about using water.
Ate last night...hubby made a DiGiorno's pizza and it was really good.
Thinking...I will be attending a corrections/education conference in June in Jacksonville for 3 days, the hotel is right on the St. John's River, and it looks really nice. It's only an hour and half drive from here, so not too bad.
Feeling...yeah, sums it up.
Doing...I / we need to go get the oil changed in my truck today. Then stop at the store. Hoping to be home before the weather hits. We also need to stop at Lowes as we have a gift card leftover from our birthdays and get a light for over the sink.
Celebrating...to make a long story...all those issues at work...sigh---to make a long story short...when my husband said swore our late son told him NO SHEEP, it just changed everything; my mind, my spirit, my attitude, everything. I really started paying attention and realized (almost too late) that I was being manipulated. HR and the wardens are coming down next Thursday. I did not go to them, my boss did. As much as my boss is hard to deal with at times, we both almost sucked into something --I am not in trouble...more on that later. Let's just say my reputation, which I pride myself on, saved me. Those two folks who did all this, will be given options and those options are not good. Thank you Jesus, for the clearer head and a new profound "wow" for my boss. I am reminded 1. No Sheep and 2. No Kings.
Making me smile...I will be taking a long Memorial Day weekend. The bossman says (and I know) my annual hours are getting dangerously close to 400, and I have to take time off (before I lose them). Hmm...pool or beach? Weighing options. LOL
And it's almost time for hurricane season. LOL Wishing you all a beautiful day.

Love the new background, Linda! It is bright and cheerful. For the Memorial Day weekend, I would vote pool and beach, but would probably pick pool unless you can find a sandy beach spot that isn't crowded. I am relieved that you had a moment of clarity when Dave relayed the message from your son. Thinking of you and I hope you have a relaxing weekend.

ReplyDeletethe way I calculate it, you have over 2 weeks full of days to take...not sure I figured this correctly.. Hope you enjoy every hour of this time that is owed to you. A great reputation is something that no one can take from us.. Happy that you were respected for yours.. Enjoy that nice sunshine...I just checked our pool. the temp is 64.
ReplyDeleteHey, we had Digiornos last night! And we always doctor it up a bit. Oh, I will definitely be praying for that big meeting with HR and Wardens, etc. next week. Praying for your protection in every way and for God's favor to rest upon you. We know He is in control. Keep your eyes on HIM always!! And hurrah for a long weekend for Memorial Day weekend. I hope you do exactly whatever you really want to do!! Both sound good...but I always would opt for the less crowded option.
