Good morning, somehow, I missed posting the Tuesday Meme yesterday...so skipping right over Day 16.
1. What's one thing on your to-do list that you want to get done, need to get done, or that must get done before the year ends? Sigh...I need to get sign up for classes...sigh, nope, haven't done it. Been putting it off. Why? Don't know why...my teaching license is good for 5 years and I just feel like...well, can't explain it.
2. December 17th is National Maple Syrup Day...are you a fan? Yes Do you like maple flavor in other food items such as candy, cookies, donuts, oatmeal, hot toddies, coffee? Yes all the above.
This year they've named The AI Architects as their 'person of the year'. What say you? Is this a good choice, an obvious choice, a logical choice? Umm...no...that is not a person it's a thing. Who do you think should have been named person of the year? Not sure, probably Charlie Kirk. No matter what one thinks, he challenged you to think, period.
4. What's a city, state, or country you've visited that you never care to visit again? Tell us why. Honestly, I am done with the northern states...love to visit, lived in NY, etc...but the taxes and politics are just too much for me.
5. Next Sunday (December 21st) marks the first day of winter (or the opposite if you're living down under). What's one thing you love about this new season? The humidity--or lack of.

Well, surprise...the person who owns my mother in-laws house (the person we have been making house payment's too--as it's a private owner not owned by a bank) passed away Monday. Where does this leave us? Don't know, we only have 5 years left to pay on the house. Other than that, I have no real news on anything, really. I met the new teacher, and I am less than impressed...something is off and I don't quite know what it is.
Linda, so many questions you left us with today! Does that mean you aren't going to teach going forward? And why are y'all paying for your MIL's house? Inquiring minds want to know :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, I hope your Mother in law won't have to move. But are you saying you are actually buying the house, not just renting? Well, hopefully there's something in the agreement that will answer that question. Praying for the whole situation. Praying for the new teacher, that it will work out well and that you will be able to get back to your own schedule/classes/etc. I do like maple syrup, but just can't eat very much of it. I cooked some maple sausage the other day, and it made the house smell so good for the next couple of days! LOL. And yes, I'm done with up north living. It's pretty to visit, but not to live in. We are blessed here with no ice and snow to remove every day so we can go places. LOL. Have a blessed day my friend.

ReplyDeleteI'm the same with signing up for continuing education classes for my nursing license. It has to be done every 2 years and I recently got them done after procrastinating.

Oh I hope everything works out with your MIL's house. I really do understand about those classes. I'm the same way with some stuff I need to take care of.

Oh I love living in the Northeast (minus the ridiculous taxes and most of the politics) but I mainly love it because of my roots, the mountains and the definite 4 seasons. LOVE each one.

I won't say which place I've visited that I hope to not return because I don't want to offend those who love it. I agree with you on AI, which is NOT a person to be the person of the year. I also greatly agree with you that Charlie Kirk should be the Person of the Year. Absolutely.
ReplyDeleteI am sure sorry for all the troubles you guys have with Dave's mom up in that northern state... sure hope the house situation gets sorted without too much craziness. Lifted a prayer!! Charlie Kirk gets my vote for Person of the Year, too!
