Good morning, apparently, I skipped right over posting yesterday, oops. so, how about I do the Tuesday meme on a Wednesday?
Let's be lighthearted today and ask some not so serious questions, shall we?
1. What is the dumbest rule you've ever had to follow? Probably having a curfew of 9 pm when I was still living at my parents' home. Even though I worked at the movie theatre-my dad was right there at 10 or so to pick me up. My dad always said, "Nothing good comes out dark thirty."
2. What is the weirdest or funniest thing a guest ever did/said in your home? The dumbest thing was my brother was visiting, and he rearranged those alphabet letters on the fridge (our son was little) and it spelled a bad word. My husband was livid.
3. If you had a warning label what would it say? Warning labels: Handle with Caution. Time bomb waiting to explode. Don't lie to me.
4. What is the first thing you must do in case of a Snoopy/Charlie Brown Apocalypse? Who is the first person you call for advice when that happens? (Imagine that The characters of Charlie Brown series take over the world! What do you do as your first move? Who would you call for advice on how to live in that world?) Well, since this was discussed in our household during the covid lockdowns, it pretty much rang true. Don't ever depend on the government, buy gold and silver coins, keep cash on hand and by all means, keep seeds. Commodity people, commodity and by all means, become proficient in handling a weapon.

Good advice today Linda! I hope the co-workers straighten out. You're right - it affects everyone!
ReplyDeleteThis is Mari, for some reason I can't sign in today.
I enjoyed your answers. YOur story about the "bad word" by your brother reminds me of when our grandson Noah was about 3 when he heard his uncle Scott say "stupid". So he thought that was an okay word and started saying "stupid, stupid, stupid", and he got in trouble for it by his father (our son Matthew). One day when we were talking to Noah on the phone and Uncle Scott said hi to him, he said, "Uncle Scott, you said stupid, and that's not nice!" So that's been a joke between them ever since. "You said stupid!"
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit. I can imagine it looks really sharp on you! I hope things calm down at work and life will go on peacefully. Take care and enjoy these cooler days again.
Don't ever, ever trust the government, Linda. I'm with you all the way on that. Have a beautiful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteFunny how negatively tends to infect everyone around them.
ReplyDeleteI like that shirt!! It does remind one of the Queen of Hearts! Hope you day was good. A fun Tuesday 4. I answered "don't lie to me" as well. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOnce someone lies to me, I never feel about him/her in quite the same way again. Ever. I'm glad your workplace dilemma is being recognized and dealt with.
ReplyDeleteI hope the work issue gets resolved soon. I had one employee I worked with that was a thorn in the side. She was one person I did not miss when I left my job. That was 15 years ago! I hope the rest of the week goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteLinda, it's hard to deal with coworkers who aren't happy. I ended up having a long heart-to-heart with my boss one day and it was really more about how I fit in, rather than the coworker. But it turned out to be very enlightening and changed everything for me. Sometimes the insight into the other person helps shed light on things. If they are women...well, it's a known fact that too many women in one space is usually a disaster. Sad, but true.
ReplyDeleteMy mother would always say just pray than pray harder! So I do. My poor SIL Jake, his mom and youngest sister are into the Wiccan. Very sad because Caitlin has the cutest three year old boy and she never ever looks happy or at peace. My kids drove me wild as tykes but if I could go back, yeah I would! I know how tough co workers who do nothing and complain how they do it all are. Oh goodness, when I lost my job because the doctors SIL Renee was a racist crazy who cussed like a drunk on a binge and hated minorities and people like me who had them for friends. But God gave me what I needed and I spent two years watching Harry Barry my great grandson Harrison James! He is taller than me at age 9 but that child and I have a connection straight from God Himself. Praying for you always. I love your pretty blouse and always looking so polished and professional. Don't let those buggers get you down. Ask God to drench them in the blood of Jesus! HUGS, PRAYERS and LOVE across the miles.
