Rome'ing into the Hodgepodge.
2. 'Rome wasn't built in a day.' What project/activity/improvement (of any kind) do you have going on right now to which this saying might be applied? Hmm...we are in talks about making some home improvements, since housing is still way too expensive. I really don't want to make improvements to this current place...but it is what it is. We need wrapping replaced (insulation), the ducts cleaned out, plants, flowers, fruit trees planted, a new kitchen, blah blah blah.
3. Let's do a little this or that with some Italian foods...
Caprese salad or Prosciutto with melon? Caprese
Bruschetta or Antipasto? Both, not going to choose.
Lasagna or ravioli? Hmm...stuffed lobster ravioli
bolognese or Carbonara? I like both.
Risotto or gnocchi? Gnocchi
tiramisu~gelato~cannoli? Ugh...all three. I love all of those. So, I am not going to choose, LOL.
4. Of the colors red, white, and green which would I find most prevalent in your home? White --well, actually natural colors. Which one do you think is most flattering to you in terms of your wardrobe? Red Have you ever had your colors done? Yes, when I was a teen and then when I was like 30 something. They hadn't changed--I am jewel tone. Is that something you'd be interested in doing? I think it's fun and I also think everyone should have it done, and that includes going to a makeup counter as well.
5. Life would be boring without____________________?
My husband...he is something else, often from another planet. LOLOLOL

I'd go back to Ireland and Scotland in a heartbeat before even thinking about Italy. I hope you can go someday. Teaching is not for sissies! Hope you get everyone in line. :)
ReplyDeleteI only like the pretty visual home improvement projects: ) I hate having to do things like HVAC and insulation and repairs. And everything is so expensive it's hard to pull the trigger on a project. Ours from last fall seems never ending but we have a party here in early May so I'd like to wrap it up next month. Mostly just the bells and whistles now but prices are daunting. Hope you have a great day!

ReplyDeleteI've been to Rome a few times, but much prefer the Tuscany region - less crime and nicer citizens (IMHO). I never had my colors 'done' but after years of poor decisions I've learned what looks good; at least better than others. I think today's lunch is going to be caprese -- this baby moz isn't going to eat itself. (lol)
ReplyDeleteI would definitely choose Ireland or Scotland. No desire to go to Rome. I have never had the color test done, but my skin is of a very olive color, so I pretty much can wear a huge variety of colors.

ReplyDeleteLike you, jewel tones are my best colors to wear. I have never had my colors done, but years ago when it was all the rage, I bought the book, Color Me Beautiful, and figured it out for myself. There was a friend at church at the time who was really into it and she confirmed that I am a "Winter" who wears the jewel tones best.

But you are much prettier than that mad woman! LOL. Gosh, if you make all those renovations in your house you won't want to leave it! LOL.Do a little at a time...the most important/needful thing first, and then move on from there as you are able. Maybe by then the prices will come down, but remember, if they come down on others, they come down on yours too, so don't spend too much more than what you can actually recoup plus a profit. I know you know all that. One step at a time. Good things come to those who wait. Who said that? I don't know. Maybe the Bible somewhere. Take care my friend.
