Good morning.
Photo overload day...grin
...sitting here at 7:20 am on a cloudy Saturday humid morning drinking my first cup of coffee. Looks to be a stormy day expecting 64% chance of rain/thunderstorms.
Thought I would share what's been going on here in. Excited that the doors and windows are in:
Before and after

| hubby is going to eventually stain the deck white. |
Lot quieter. And economical as the central ac doesn't come on as often now. Below is the before of the backdoor.

| he also put up the privacy fence on both sides of the house. |
He is also going to extend the back steps/deck to the grill area.

Before Carport/windows doors -below
after carport.
He has been very busy; the privacy fence came from neighbors who were tearing down it to put up a white vinyl privacy fence and it didn't cost anything but labor. The carport came from friends who were selling their home and decided not to keep it/the carport. Free but labor intense. The doors and windows were professionally installed and cost a pretty penny.
I think we have come a long way from a year ago--actually it will be a year on Oct. 31 since we bought this place and moved in...it certainly has been a rollercoaster, that's for sure...with Liam suddenly passing away on 12/11/21, packing up, living with friends, the ups and downs of finding a place etc...one thing is for certain:
Wishing you a beautiful day.

Everything looks great, Linda! It's wonderful that your hubby has time and the health to do all those things. My hubby has neither and we desperately need new windows and doors...not to mention a lot of other things. Sigh. Maybe I should go check my lottery numbers and see if I can afford to hire someone to do it all.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! A nice yard to boot! Have a great one... :)
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. I love all the pictures. Everything looks great! The doors and windows make such a positive difference in every way. You are really making the place your own. The carport is a great addition. Yes, it has really been a roller coaster ride for you two, but God has been there for you with many many blessings. Thanks for sharing all of the pictures. You have a lovely home and a very nice yard. Enjoy your Saturday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference a year makes! Your place looks mighty inviting; I know you look forward to arriving home each day.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks marvelous, Linda, and I can tell by the outcome that lots of love and elbow grease were readily on hand for it. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteY'alls place is looking very grand. I like all the improvements. Praying that the good improvements continue. We keep going forward too. I haven't felt like writing or journaling, though, at least not on-line. Possibly because I'm enjoying this cooler weather and staying outside more. Fall is my time of year.
ReplyDeleteLove xx
