Hey, Deb is back! We've been staying in touch via FB, but I am so glad her blogging is back. Digging deep into my files for some Friday Fotos.
Some artwork I did for my Watercolor class many semesters ago.
Our American wall in the sitting room. I look it at often, especially during these trying times. For the record, I will NOT comply with the face mask Executive Order from our Governor. Gladly look forward to discussing this with a policeman or judge (we do have a lawyer friend who said, "Stand in line, you're not the only one."). I do sincerely mean that.
Two hours north up at Oswego, at Ft. Ontario. Let's see last late summer-early fall? I can't rightly remember when we were there.
Our old house in Elizaville/Hudson, NY. I do miss that area. Sadly, times are changing and we might have to move...with being shut down, no jobs etc...and the governor won't open up until July...sad...still no stimulus check, the IRS website has crashed...and reading many complaints.
And lastly, we are under a winter storm warning, yep, heard that right on April 17. Expecting 3-6 inches of fresh powder.
Let's just keep it real. It stopped being fun a long time ago. I am not usually civil disobedient, but enough.

I'm so sorry things are so rough where you are right now. Hopefully this will all be over sooner than later. Love your American wall and the minion comic cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good weekend.
Its ok Cathy...there is a lot of rumbling going on here in this little town 6 hrs west of NYC. ANYWAYS--Have a great weekend, smiles.
DeleteI havent received my stimulus check either and knows lots that have....they may not be sending me one! Like your pictures as always especially the wall of American things.
ReplyDeleteI think us folks who are on SS will get it by May 1, so I have been reading. Have a great weekend, Linda, smiles.
DeleteLinda, my daughter lives in Oswego (it's only 20-ish minutes north of here), it's lovely up there. We went to a Symphoria concert in the park where the fort is, way back when things like that were normal life. My other daughter works up there, now just a few days a week. I think the mask order is silly because now we have counties declaring no one will be allowed into essential businesses without them, putting the burden on the stores to enforce such nonsense. I think this is preparing the world for the mark of the beast...it's going to get uglier, I think. Sorry, I'm just a ray of sunshine today, aren't I? I just hate the spirit of people seeming so glad to turn each other in, call the cops because there are extra cars in someone's driveway...no one likes a squealer. ugh. We shall have a good day anyway:)
ReplyDeleteDella, you are 100% correct in your thoughts about the mark of the beast. Indeed, we shall have a good day regardless. smiles
DeleteI dream of my great escape.... not sure where to.... but are living in the proverbial roach motel... one way in no way out....... I trust the youngins will put an end to this nonsense soon.
ReplyDeleteDont count on it, just saying...This has really affected my mental ability in so many different ways, Bunk. Enough. We are thinking Maine, Bunk. At least their gun laws aren't over intrusive like NY is.
DeleteI just love your American wall! Makes me want to do something like it in my house! I relate to this post on so many levels! Enough and the fact that they are shutting the American economy down because of a virus that has a 98% recovery rate is just insane! Not a huge fan of our president but I am 100% with him wanting to get things going again sooner rather than later!
ReplyDeleteFull disclosure, I voted for him, I don't like the Clintons. ANYWAYS, I am not very happy with him at the moment, he should of just got on TV last night and said, "GET BACK TO WORK!" an walked off. wink
DeleteOh, how I've missed your humor...and honesty! For the record, not that he gives a hoot, but I do not like the governor of New York one bit. Oh, mercy, he's so full of himself! At least Governor Lee shows some humility. Okay, off the soapbox. Love all of your pics - I feel like I'm back to my old self...the last 4 years, namely the last year, has about done me in. Maybe some day I can tell the "rest of the story". HOPE you have a great weekend...in spite of that four letter word...SNOW! <3
ReplyDeleteYou do need to update us, grin, hint hint. LOL
DeleteThe snow is ok, not that we are allowed out anyways (rolling eyes).
I love your American wall. We are all wearing masks here voluntarily. Everyone is being pretty nice about it. Everything voluntary and encouraged here in Utah. I think that is the best way to do things. I just mailed masks to my sister who lives over by Albany so she and her family can wear them as directed. Hope you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb...I do like your masks, I am just not going to comply, nor is my husband or son. grin
DeleteThose final thoughts are hilarious. Not sure how things will turn out, but praying and trusting for the best possible outcomes. If nothing else, this shows you what state you don't want to be in. 😏
ReplyDeleteYep. pretty much.
DeleteWell, it's good that you have positives in your life (but I'd have helped you hide the bodies!). Love that American wall and your old house. You just can't totally recreate that original, old-fashioned country home no matter how hard you try. I sure hope your stimulus checks show up soon and that things get better. Our idiot in charge hasn't officially lengthened our lockdown, but since yours did, I'm sure it's coming. PA's protest is taking place on Monday. I won't be making the trip to Harrisburg, but I'm in the FB groups and supporting those who are going. Never expected to live through this crap in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteIf we lived in the country, I don't think I would have these issues right now with anti government. I hear ya on your last thought.
DeleteIt's chilly here but nice. The sun is shining. I wish I could share the sunshine and the liberties with y'all. We're still doin' what we always do, except there's no restaurants (except curbside) nor hair parlors open. Store shelves are still kinda bare for some things but they're slowly starting to reappear.
ReplyDeleteWe received our "stimulus" on April 15th. I think there's a bunch of checks that are supposed to go out or be deposited today. That's the rumor, anyway. Hope y'all get yours soon.
Love & Prayers
Nope, no stimulus, they are saying that SS folks won't get it until May 1...whatever, we really don't need it, we were going to use it incase I had job interviews out of state.
DeleteWow … so much to ponder here. I'm struck by 16 Blessings' comment about the mark of the beast.
ReplyDeleteLove your Americana wall, and I hope gazing on it brings y'all a measure of comfort.
As ever, thanks for assuring us we're not alone in our thought processes. "Going round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel …"
Oh, Mark of the Beast; Revelation 13:16-18. Its there, friend. Very scary stuff.
DeleteI do love your patriotic wall, Linda!! We left our masks in the car when we went to Publix this week. The only people wearing masks (and gloves) were the stocking folks. The cashiers weren't and we didn't see one customer with a mask on. If I was coughing and/or sneezing, I would wear one to protect others, but I would do that even if it was not a C-19 panic. I read that Texas is relaxing rules starting the first of May. Hope Florida can tag along. I agree that this is scary stuff. I've read Revelation... but I am also ready!
ReplyDeleteEven in times of hardship, you're sense of humor shines through. Keep that up!
ReplyDeleteWonder where your check is? We got ours, but it seems those that aren't working are getting it last...
ReplyDeleteWe've been getting snow but not that much!
Disobedience is my middle name. It's gone beyond sane.. but you know how I feel. I hope you get your home on a farm soon and things in your town get back to normal quickly.
