Linking back to Stacy on this rainy Monday (been raining since yesterday).
Currently:
Reading: My 100 pages of handwritten notes, trying to make heads or tails out of my gibberish. Typing up this final paper is wearing thin.
Watching: Nothing at the moment. Sunday evenings I watch NorthWoods Law on the Animal Channel. Then Monday evenings I watch Maine Cabin Masters. That's my routine.
Listening to: My husband discuss Cuomo's thoughts on reopening the state; or the lack of.
Loving: Having hubby and son read my notes out loud, this typing the final paper is a family project/affair.
Thinking: Worried about not finding a job IF or WHEN this shutdown finally lets up. I'm $71,000 in debt of student loans. Sobering.
Feeling: Anxious to get this paper done (has to be done by Friday). Also, feeling anxious about the prospective job market.
Celebrating: Not much...just keeping it real.
Grateful for: My husband and son who have showed unwavering support for the last 4-5 years of this school adventure. Hang on guys, almost done.
Weather: 38* mostly cloudy and raining off and on.
Enjoying: I can actually see the end is in sight; this paper will be done and then Spanish final on May 8. Then I am done.

You're almost at the finish line! Yay! I have some job anxiety too but not like yours. I need a part time job to supplement my SS when I retire at the end of May. Good luck to both of us!

ReplyDeleteThe rain has finally stopped here, but it's staying dreary. The next couple of days are supposed to get warm (near 70) but the rain will be back and maybe some thunder storms. Yeah, April showers and all that.

The finish line is close!! WooHoo. A new journey will begin, hope it all turns out to be wonderful for you and your family. You've worked so hard and sure deserve it.
ReplyDeleteYou are almost over the wall!! God is lifting you higher and higher, and soon you will be over and done! Don't worry about the future right now, just concentrate on getting this done. The future is in God's hands, and He has a plan...a good plan (Jeremiah 29:11). So happy your family is helping you get through this paper...when my hubby was finishing his doctorate we did not have a computer. I had to type and retype his dissertation several times...when the professor would critique it and make "suggestions" for changes here and there during the process, it would mean that I would have to retype everything because there was no such thing as cut and paste, delete, etc. So, thank the Good Lord for a computer! We finally got one AFTER he was done with his degree...of course!! LOL. (now you know how old I am! LOL) Hang in there! You are going to make it!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI bet you will jump for Joy when that paper is turned in. I know my sister was so happy when she got her Masters and we were all there to celebrate her. She is a marriage and family counselor and she has to do tele appointments. She was about your age when she did this. Someday you will look back and remember how strong you were.
