Marching into the Hodgepodge

Good morning, marching into the Hodgepodge.

1.  As the saying goes, 'March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.' Did your March come in roaring or like some other animal? Nope...although hippos are my favorite and my boss complains that I like hippos, because that apparently means I am a psychopath, LOL. Every month carries with it certain feelings, which is why some people love and anticipate December and others dread it. How do you feel about the month of March? It's my birthday month, so enough said. LOL

2. Where in your life are you a lion? Work Where are you a lamb? home

3. The Hodgepodge lands on National Pound Cake day. Do you like pound cake? If so do you have a favorite flavor? Let's play this or that-

pound cake or layer cake? both

pound cake or cheesecake? both

pound cake or angel food cake? both

pound cake or brownie? both

pound cake or pie? both

Listen, just give me all of it and we will be fine, LOLOLOL

4. What makes you feel childlike wonder right now?

Anytime I get to visit this place:

yeah those are my piggies in the lower right-hand corner, LOL

It's just my happy place.

5. What's one thing you need to add to your wardrobe to get ready for spring? More sandals/ flipflops. LOL

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Gas prices have gone up another 9 cents. Here, locally, it is $3.29 (well, it was when I was driving home yesterday). Crazy. Anyways, I don't have much else to offer up, just surviving. 😉

Wishing you all a beautiful day.

  1. Happy birthday month! I like to extend my celebrating : ) Today is my son-in-law's birthday and next week my mother-in-law turns 90 so we have two weekends in a row of celebrations for her. She's still a dynamo who is busy every day and has a million friends. It's inspiring. Have a great day!

  2. Yeah, I just LOVE how the gas companies jump on the bandwagon to find any excuse to raise their prices even when their own prices haven't yet been raised. They are staying ahead of the game I guess. I just hope that doesn't become the new norm again. Praying for our country and our world. I do hope you can get to the beach sometime SOON! The weather is being a lot nicer these days, so maybe there's hope! I've been wondering about your kitchen...how's the redo doing? I know these things take time and don't always happen the way we "planned". I hope you are having a better week this week. (((HUGS))) Happy Birthday Month!

  3. Gas is up all over the country because of the Iranian situation. When it's resolved you'll see prices go back down.

  4. Awesome that today is National Pound Cake Day! Hmm, if I had known, I would have picked up one from Yoder's. I think March came in like a lion cub this year. I definitely was a lion or mama bear at work. Interesting comment from your boss about your love of hippos, Linda. I wonder what he would say about my love of elephants. Have a good day.

  5. Our March came in like a lion, because it was very cold and windy. So, we can now have that lamb weather!
I'm not a pound cake person, would choose all the others first.
Hope you get to the beach soon!

  7. Okay, I need to learn what hippos have to do with being a psychopath! I think the lowest gasoline price I've seen in the last 48 hours is $2.99.
