I better do this before I forget...
What's going on...
...payday today (every Thursday is payday at my current employer)
...on a current 6 day workweek (every single (4 of us) grocery/warehouse employees are on a 6 day week due to the holiday; all of us have Monday off which is the mandated holiday). Believe me when I tell you, all of us are tired, hot and cranky and probably getting on nerves with one another, just saying ((grin)). Today its 11:30-8pm.
...looking forward to the fireworks on Sunday night (here it is at 10pm).
...Thankful for so many things. I might be tired, hot, cranky and probably getting on nerves (I'll plead the 5th), but I am so thankful to have a job and put away money for a rainy day...jmo, but I think a 'rainy day' is coming once again. We are so use to living on bare bones minimum, that when that rainy day comes, it won't be so bad.

Here's to hoping work is not too bad today and that Monday will come quickly.

ReplyDeleteFood, medicine, insurance, fuel and rents are skyrocketing. Our banana republic feeble minded clown show in the White House keeps threatening law-abiding Americans and nothing is being done about it. It's kinda hard to find that happy feeling, isn't it. At least we have Jesus and He does warn us that being happy is fleeting, joy is forever. And He says that things will be very, very bad before He returns. I keep thanking Him for so many blessings we do have. I'm only concerned for the elderly and the needy that are going to suffer terribly. We need to all be especially cheerful and good to one another. I'm trying harder to be kind, forgiving, and thoughtful. Nerves are gonna get really raw before this is over.
