Tuesday Meme

Joining in with the Tuesday Meme.

Let's discuss time!

1. Are meals eaten at certain times in your home or are they more spontaneous?

On Sundays they are eaten by 4:30. Although last night it was near 7-if you saw my post you would know we went over to Geneseo. Most of the other days its by 6. Between 5-6.

2. If you attend religious services or club meetings, are they morning, afternoon or evening? Are there advantages/disadvantages to that time?

No. churches are still closed here.

3.Are you in bed and up in the mornings at a regular time each day?

Yep. Up by 6:30-7 am. Use to be when I was in classes and had to drive to campus by 4:30 am. I am sure IF or WHEN a job comes along, it will be back to 4:40-5 am.

4.Do you set apart specific times during the day or week to do certain things like study, shopping, laundry, visiting?

Shopping-usually between 12- 2 or so. We like to be done by the late afternoon.

Laundry-usually in the evenings. I like folding laundry while watching TV in the evenings.

Visiting-what is that? Thanks to the shutdown, folks are just plum fearful...anyways, anytime after 11 am to 8 pm is fine with us.

TV watching- usually 6-10

Reading or playing my online games-anytime

Hmm...lolol

  1. Jim and I always ate what we called 'lupper' between 4-5 because we always ate breakfast late mornings. Now with the group here, sometimes they dont eat supper til 8-9 and I just cant wait that late so I grab something earlier. I am up at 5 or before most mornings...just cant sleep any longer, but I go to bed earlier than most too. Hope you have a great day my friend.

  2. I set my alarm and my coffee pot for 6:00 am. That's sleeping in since I used to get up at 5 for work. I still like to get up early though. Makes the day feel more productive!

  3. After being sleep deprived for two and a half decades, having all those babies, I still get up with the birds most days. I would have sworn, years ago, when I was starved for sleep, that if I ever had the chance, I would sleep and sleep and sleep. Then, I got older and realized that life is short, and I would rather putter around and drink coffee, than sleep, ha. This cooler weather is nice, isn't it?

  4. Your comment about churches being closed really got me thinking this morning for some reason. I don't know of any that are open like normal here. I think some are doing outside services or parking lot services. The rest continue with online services. I was wondering how they are surviving? I mean there's probably a collection at the outside/drive-in services but what about churches that are all online? Are people still sending in their money? Are the pastors being paid? How are they paying the bills? Pretty effective way to stomp out at least some churches I would think.

On that happy thought....I hope you have a wonderful day today, Linda!

    1. no outside services here. I think the Catholic Church allowed 25% in, our landlady said its pitiful, like only 10 people-which is less than 25%. I know the Baptist and Methodist church haven't open yet. I meant to ask Father Stan the other day when I saw him in Wegmans and forgot (he's the Catholic priest).

  5. In a different (season of my) life, we never dreamed of eating dinner before 8PM. Nowadays our 'big' meal happens around noon and supper, if it happens, is little more than a snack.

  7. Being at the University at 4:30AM? YUCK! I tried to get up a little earlier today so I can sleep tonight going back to school tomorrow. Our meetings days are so boring. Loved your answers! Have a great Tuesday!

  10. We have pretty much the same routine as y'all! How about that?! Up between 6:30-7:30, at the latest. Eat a hearty keto breakfast, then fast through the day (with lots of creamy coffee in-between), have supper about 4:00 pm. Then a light snack before hitting the sack. Hey, that rhymes! *lol* I'm so boring. Hardly ever vary from the routine except for Sundays there is Church around 11 am. Sunday School is returning next month but I'm just not interested anymore, but, we'll see. *grin*
Hot again here and very humid. It's supposed to rain all this week but now it's not looking that way. Sure could use the wet stuff right now since we put down all those new plants. We need the LORD's sprinklers.
Praying for us all to be back to normal again soon. Y'all sure need a break for sure.
    Love xx

  15. I think churches should be ashamed of themselves for closing. I really just do. If they've drunk the kool aid even after seeing government allow mass protests and riots without masks and still are closed.. I can only imagine God is very angry. They are disgusting and not doing the work God called them to do. Sorry for the rant..but not sorry either. ;)

  16. We eat late breakfast (brunch) and an early supper (lupper)!! Being retired has its advantages... but then we snack at night while watching TV. I have gotten used to sleeping late after years and years and years of getting up at 5:00 a.m. to get ready for work. I don't set the alarm now unless I have to. I enjoyed your Tuesday 4!!

  17. I didn't join in today either...I am running behind schedule with my posts and just couldn't fit another one in. That being said, we are usually up around 5:30-6 am. Breakfast after we do our devotions and read our computer stuff, so usually around 7:30. Take a walk around 8:30-9. Shop on the way home if we need to. Lunch by noon. Nap after lunch for at least 30 minutes. (yeah, we're that old!). Supper around 4:45 or 5. Another walk after supper. Bedtime is usually by 9:30, latest at 10. Yeah, we're old. I know. But hubby likes to stay on a "schedule". Unless we have something fun or interesting to do, like go out to lunch with friends/family. Church is at 9:30 am. We do social distancing and wear masks. It's different, but we are coping. We are just happy to be able to be together again. Then we go out to "brunch", off come the masks and we sit at the table together and hold hands and pray. Yep...we do. Then we pass the hand sanitizer. LOL. God is good, and we are thankful.
