Please excuse my late morning-almost-is afternoon post.
So, finally hairdressers are allowed to go full service, however, the new Covid regulations and rules are way overboard. I have no desire to shut the hair salon down just to get my hair colored. Only two people are allowed in at a time, its different if you want your hair colored. We must be living in some alternative universe, sure seems that way.
HA! It's well worth the $45 to get my hair colored...but alias, again, I have no desire to cause the girls / women anymore pain of shutting down. I am really tired of having white/gray hair. These last 5-6 months of this Covid craziness has really put a stressful situation on me.
So, let's keep it real...yep...$9 box of hair color will do. I haven't done it yet, but I will later this evening. Oh yeah, finally can see the dr. in person-tomorrow. Only two people are allowed in (what is it with two only? Is it a magic number that will magically keep people from getting sick?) and mask mandates. My appointment is at 11 am.
HA! In my case, Chestnut Brown. Have a great day all.

Hahahahahaha on that last meme! I've still not had my color touched up, but being it's naturally white, I can see what my beautician meant when she recommended I go light blonde.
ReplyDeletePS - Same here on the 2-person occupancy. What is this, kindergarten buddy system revisited?
don't even get me going on this, Myra...I am sick of all this crap. (oooooooooooooooo I said a bad word, wink.)
DeleteGood luck with doing it yourself. I just let the grays stay these days and have for years now. I'm the same hot mess that I was before Covid 19 lol. Have a great day ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I've done it myself before, I just don't like too due to having to stand around for 30 min looking like a drowned rat, LOL.
DeleteI have had enough of being a hot mess, LOLOL.
Gosh, only $45 for hair color?! I quit coloring 3-4 years ago, mainly because it cost $120 for a cut and color. Yikes! Our 'restrictions' have loosened, with the exception of the masks. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI am sure it would be more if I had long or full hair, the prices- everything went up due to all the restrictions. I pay $20 for my haircut. She told me she continue to only charge me 45, I believe its more like near 60 for long or fuller hair. My hair is thin and shoulder length.
DeleteOur restrictions have lightened a lot, but my hair dresser is still buying into the hysteria. *rolling my eyes* I quit talking about it with her. I love her and don't want to offend. She's a nice lady. Anywho, all I need is a trim these days. Don't know if you've noticed, or could tell, but I've quit bleaching my hair which I've done religiously since High School. I already was a natural strawberry blonde but turned a kinda mousy brown (!!) with gray highlights. Eh, whatever. *lol* Good luck on the project! I know you'll do right.
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired of all this though. Please, can we move on (talking to the Government and the still wacko citizens).
Love xx
Yeah, I did notice, grin. I like your hair this way, smiles. I was just telling Dave, I am tired of all this crap news. LOL
DeleteGood for you! You have to know that I said to myself "what? she hasn't been keeping it real all along?!"
ReplyDeleteGlad that it's about getting your color back. I think those home job boxes do a good job. Let us know! Really, give us a little peek.
lolol. Yeah, I keep it real, every single day. Smiles
DeleteOur restrictions on beauticians have gotten better. I did color my hair once during this, but have since let my hair dresser fix it up!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
It looks like the hairdresser did it, I'm happy. lol
DeleteI need a cut too! I did color my hair last week. I buy it at Sprouts and get pretty good results. If I want to have money for crafting, I have to color my hair and for now it works just fine. Our hair places closed up again so many places are moving outside if they can. I thought I would stop coloring at 65, but I think I will go a bit longer. Stay cool. We will be over 100 through next week.
ReplyDeleteI thought I would let it go natural...yeah...umm...to scary. LOLOL
DeleteIve been a "Fake Blond" for over 30 years...I dont even know what my natural colour is any more.. and its always done at home. Cutting on the other hand... HELP!! xx
ReplyDeleteGrin...I often say "Only the good Lord knows what color my hair is."
DeleteIt hard to tell if my hair goes gray since its pale blonde. And most times I wear wigs anyway. Have a good time coloring!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann, I hate doing it. With only one bathroom, it gets to be tideous.
DeleteShow us your new hair color when you get it done! Good luck! $45 is too much but when Terri said $120 I almost fainted. My hair is grey and I am proud of it - I earned every hair!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think that too, Linda...I earned it...but I don't like it. LOLOL
DeleteHope the home treatment worked out ok. I've gone back to my natural colour - the roots were so long by the time I could see my hairdresser I just had it cut short. The colour is almost gone now. Another cut and it will probably be completely out. Saving me a fortune too!
ReplyDeleteI noticed you had you hair cut, I like it. smiles
DeleteHere goes:
ReplyDeleteI don't color my gray hair, my husband likes it natural
and real short.
The picture you see under my comments doesn't show my real
short hair.
My husband says no one is going to get out of looking older,
especially at their neck and face where wrinkles show, and flabby
skin so just go with it.
Have a great day my friend.
Well...now, that is so true. I just didn't like looking the way I was looking, wink. smiles
DeleteI don't blame you, a woman has to do what she has to do
Deleteand as long as you are happy, that's what counts!
One thing I have learned from this pandemic is I can find a ton of ways to hide my grey hair coming in. The result is I will only get it colored every 8 weeks now.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't wait to see a picture of you after your hair coloring is done. I didn't know the beauty salons couldn't do hair coloring yet...what is with these people? Oh well, I shouldn't ask that question. I still don't color my hair, and probably never will. It's gradually turning gray here and there, but I'll be 70 next month, so why shouldn't it be turning gray? That's life. Maybe when it finally does turn gray I'll change my mind...but by then I wouldn't look right as a redhead again. Although it hasn't looked red for a long time...not even a lovely auburn anymore. Just kind of brownish something. My identity as a redhead died a few years ago when someone who grew up with me saw me and said, "Pam, is that really you? What happened to your red hair?". I said, I got old. That's what happens when you get old. LOL. Oh well, such is life. There's still a lot of fire under my scalp, however. LOL. Bye for now. This was fun.
ReplyDeleteBeen to the Beauty Shop once in the last 6 months! I'm good at cutting my own hair, top and sides anyway, the girl that's cut my hair for the past ten years is used to it. lol Got a little bored the other day and decided to add some pink hilites to my gray, it's fun!!
