Good morning, and just like that, the central ac in back on. We were pulling out of the driveway yesterday and the dr. office called asking us to change to the Brownwood location, which is in the Villages. Gladly...so off we went and after, we headed over to McDonalds for breakfast...yes, McDonalds. Sad but true, as the hubby loves their big breakfast of pancakes, eggs and a sausage biscuit. I got the Egg McMuffin, I am not a breakfast sort of person...anyways...
He suggested, since he was feeling and seeing so much better perhaps, we could over to the Wildwood Antiques store just a short drive from Brownwood. Sure thing.
My little eye (ok, 4 eyes, lol) spotted this cute tree. All decorated in blue.
And this sign...I couldn't help but laugh. I should have bought it but didn't. Then, we went to a couple more antique places and then stopped in Oxford (still the Villages) to go too Marshalls. Where I did buy a few things:
My favorite Anti-Aging Cream. I was looking at the "new wave" Korean beauty products that I have been reading about but decided to stick to what I know.
and slippers. I usually don't wear slippers, as I am barefoot most of the time here at home. But I am finding myself the need to get comfy after being on my feet all day. Hubby did get a fancy towel holder for the kitchen countertop and some bamboo drawer organizers. Other than that, it was a pretty good day.

| No "Seas" the day. These spring breakers/young folks have been a menace in Daytona and our beaches--it's been in the news. |
We have to head to the post office to return an Amazon order, get haircuts and the dreaded Walmart. Wishing you all a beautiful day.
P.S.

Chuckling over the framed sign you shared! It sounded like you had a good day on Friday along the change in location for Dave's appointment, Linda. Your slippers look comfortable. I hope you have a relaxing Saturday.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day! Good luck at Walmart.
ReplyDeleteI like that "mirror" print too. Thanks for the giggle! I can take Amazon returns to our Kohl's or to the UPS store. They make is easy. Kohl's even gives you a coupon to use that day (I usually give it away). Shopping is always fun and it's a great way to start a weekend! Glad hubby is doing so well!! xo
ReplyDeleteThat "Mirror, Mirror" sign made me LOL! I'm not a fan of fast food, but have to admit, McDonald's has the best sausage/egg biscuits I've ever tasted.
ReplyDeleteA fun sign Linda... Like you, I am not a slipper person..it's either barefoot or flip flops for me...We have warm temps here this weekend...up in the mid 90's.. Hope you both enjoy a nice weekend full of sunshine...
ReplyDeleteI would have been tempted to buy that sign, too, Linda, as I ask myself the same thing every time I look in the mirror. Oh, well! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI have to now wear slippers that have some support. The hardwood floors are hard on my joints now. Oh the joys of being 70+
ReplyDeleteI've not had opportunity until now to say I'm glad Dave's cataract surgery went well. He was in my prayers about that. I had mine done almost 2 years ago and yes, I could tell the difference. Up until then, I just thought the cloudiness/haze was how things really looked. What a relief and joy to have that taken away! It's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, that blue tree is pretty! I have done a pink tree before, and my granddaughter had a white tree this past Christmas with all pink decor. Those slippers look comfy. I can't walk barefoot. Not enough cushion. Have a relaxing weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love that sign and have asked myself that very question before! I heard about the spring breakers in Daytona Beach. Such a shame!
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't eat McDonalds all the time, when we are traveling on the road, I enjoy a hamburger or a breakfast sandwich at a fast food drive through. I remember my dad would drive miles to go to a McDonalds, get a bag full of hamburgers, no fries because they would get cold by the time he got home and we looked forward to that meal. Good memories of simple times.
ReplyDeleteI love the sign! I'm always saying I can't get ready in the mornings because there's always this old woman standing between me and the mirror. lol
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day. Hope the Drs appointment went okay.
ReplyDeleteNothing sad amount McDonalds, I love their food and KFC too... Not often of course, mostly because of the high sodium content. An occasional fast food meal in moderation never hurt anyone.
ReplyDeleteWe can take amazon orders that need to be returned over to Whole Foods. Super simple process....
ReplyDeleteEw Walmart. Haven't shopped in one personally since 2004! I have a REALLY good story as to why that is. Too long for here though.
After church, I have a vocal ensemble rehearsal for Good Friday service then plan on watching netflix all day and reading because it's RAINING. But hey..it's better than snow at this point AND the temps are heading to the 50s!!
