Currently...

Good morning from a hot and humid Florida. Joining in on the Currently.

The weather...at 7:45 am it is 73*, 83% humidity, 67* dewpoint.

Watching...getting ready to watch what I missed on my favorite YouTube video The Scottish Isle:

Loving: The donuts from Swillerbees in Daytona/Ormond. They are craft - handmade donuts.

Bahama Mama and Margarita. Yes, "adult" donuts. Hey, it was 5:00 somewhere.

Thinking: Yesterday was a good day.

We always park at the Lifeguard station (looking back from where we were). It does cost $20 to park anywhere in Daytona/Ormond. It is what it is. But it is from sunup to sundown, and you can drive on certain parts of the beach with that fee and use the facilities.

The Sunsplash was operational. My husband likes parking here because of the public bathhouse. Which is really nice and it's a short walk up from the beach.

The tide pools were pretty cool and deep.

We set up the canopy at 9 am and had a great day.

By 3 it was pretty crowded, so we packed up and went home. It was 10* cooler there, thanks to the Tradewinds. CYA next month Daytona!

Feeling...not quite ready to run a marathon, but mentally ok. Again, I wish I could figure out how to make a living from a beach chair. lolol

Celebrating...nothing really. Memorial Day. I highly recommend this video from You Tube: The Unknowns. I showed it to my classes on Thursday.

Grateful...for a nice day yesterday.

Laughing at...

I better stop, LOL. Wishing you a beautiful day!

  3. Donuts...look so yummy!! If you find a profession where we can sit in a beach chair and make a living...please share. Of course, it can't be a life guard, cause I can't swim. sounds like a good, refreshing day for you two. Enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day weekend...gonna be in the 90's here today and lots of humidity..ARGH

  7. Send some of that warmth my way! We are sorely lacking in spring-like weather at the moment!

  9. Glad you got to the beach! Your beaches are very different from our beaches here. I haven’t ever been to Florida so it’s interesting to me.
We’re having comfortable weather - 80 degrees that cools off nicely in the evening and early morning.
I’ll have to check out the movie you posted and thank you for educating the women about Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

  13. I'm glad you made it over to the beach and enjoyed the sun and sand and surf for a while. It doesn't look that crowded, which is a surprise. We used to go to north Ormond and now we can go to Crescent Beach, which is south of St. Augustine. We haven't been in a long time, however. Just don't like fighting the traffic to get there and back. Especially around holidays. But I'm glad you were able to get there and enjoy it. I am praying for rain this week. And some cooler temperatures. We can always wish, can't we? Have a wonderful rest of your weekend off.

  14. You can throw just a little bit of that heat and humidity this way, please. It was 55 and rainy today, with a brisk breeze, brrr. I liked the video you posted. My son Sam was in the Old Guard, Honor Guard, he didn't guard the tomb, but he presented the flags to the families of the fallen soldiers. Arlington Cemetery is quite an awe-inspiring place, we have so much to be thankful for...our freedoms!

  15. You won't here me complain about the heat! I love Missouri summers but hate the winters. Glad you had a good time at the beach! :) Sorry, just catching up around blog land.
