Thank you all for the kind comments. I will have news to share in the coming week or the 2nd week of May. Awaiting for a home inspection to be done. Yep. But something tells me, the VA will not approve due to the age of the house which is owned by a fellow Marine who has lived in the house for 62 years, although it has new wiring, plumbing, new metal roof etc. Keeping Faith and Hope. Anyways, onwards...
Time: 9:25 am
Scene: 62 and sunny
Drinking: Second cup of
with Italian Sweet Cream
What's on Tap for the Day: Nothing. Taking a break from house hunting. Awaiting news on the current situation next week or the week after. All parties have agreed to be present for the inspection. Also have two job interviews this week. ((What is going on here, Lord? I do not want to be a snow boots kind of gal, I am a flip flop sort of girl, the beach is calling me.))
What's for Dinner? I think my husband said he will grill out. Suppose to be 72* today. I might get some porch time in as well.
Thinking About: How this house literally was divine intervention. This house is NOT listed. Maybe when the inspection gets done, I will tell the whole story/conversations on how this came about.

Pondering: What just happened here? Maybe it will be a go or maybe not. The house needs love (i.e. paint, deck needs to be fixed, fencing needs to be fixed, etc.) and hopefully the VA will see what we see...then again, they might not. Not trying to get my hopes up ((who am I kidding)). Hand shake between the two Marines and a agreed price, but knowing full well, all depends on the inspection.

Well, staying in prayer about the situation. God's got it all taped out and may His will be done. No matter what happens, it's so exciting, don't ya think!? I love house hunting. It's been fun being a part of this. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date! Can't wait to see what happens.
ReplyDeleteWe're really hooked on New England Breakfast Blend coffee. It's very mellow. Just so yummy. I do like the Jamaican Me Crazy blend, too. I've been buying that from Bones Coffee. Their logo ... it's so Hallowe'en-ish which I like. I'm so weird. *lol*
Sending Love & Prayers xx
The Jamaican Me blend is really good. I have been sticking to the Breakfast in the Finger Lakes, its much smoother, lol. Oh, yeah, I am aware of the Bones coffee. lol
DeleteWishing you lots and lots of luck with the house!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to find out how your job interviews go too.
Grilling outside today sounds great, especially if there
is nice weather.
Have a good day my friend.

Thanks Gloria, will keep ya posted. smiles
DeleteWow, that is such great news, Linda. You will be in my prayers that everything works out. I know from personal experience, that God's ways are not necessarily ours. That looks like a beautiful place. Is it in Georgia? Will anxiously wait for you to share news. Have a good Sunday. :-)
ReplyDeleteNo, here...we are out priced/out marketed down south...unfort...we only have a budget of $150,000. Not a lot.
DeleteOh that is a sweet house. Love it! Who knows what will happen? God loves to confound the wise.
ReplyDeleteLOL Yep...it is really nice.
DeleteLooks beautiful! I can't wait to hear the rest of this story!
ReplyDeleteIt is...well...it just needs love...needs us. LOL--IF I could write a letter to the VA and tell them that...but they don't look at emotion.
DeleteWishing you all good luck, Linda! Keep us posted!! Cheering for you with the house and a new job! You've got this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri...we are out priced/out marketed down south...unfort...we only have a budget of $150,000. Not a lot.
DeleteWhat you DIDN'T say is what state this is in!! Please do tell...is it there or is it somewhere south of there! Praying for God's will no matter which way it goes and wherever it is. It looks beautiful, and I would love it myself! So please keep us posted. I love it.
ReplyDeleteLOL Sorry...my mistake. It's here...we are out priced/out marketed down south...unfort...we only have a budget of $150,000. Not a lot. It is kind of disappointing...I shall refrain from the bad words I want to us...but then again, all is good.
DeleteI will pray for the situation at hand Linda. Oh girl...I am with ya on the beach! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThis is exciting! Praying it all works out - and thankful that God has a plan. :) Will be waiting for more news!
ReplyDeleteWishing you the very best of luck... :)
ReplyDeletePraying for the house happenings and the job interviews for you, Linda!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I hope the inspection goes good and the VA approves!
ReplyDeleteOMG, that is so cottage cute. I could never find that in So. CA. for under 3 million $s. God has a plan for each of us but heck if I know what it is for our move. We do live in So. CA. on acreage (45 years). In our 70's so want to down size but everything has gone thru the roof. Tracts are over $500,000 for a basic 3 bed 2 bath and needs fixing. Might be able to afford it but the taxes would be over $10,000 a year! Not a happy thought when you are retired. Yes, we could move out of state but children are somewhat local. Will pray your deal goes thru. Patty Mc
