It's been a really bad day (certain member of management ordering me outside and told not to come back in until I ask---I will speak to her superior when I return on Thursday, its an ongoing situation that she claims is from Corp. yeah, right), so I am trying to relax. My job interview with another company this morning was brutal, I have never been grilled for 40 minutes by two people before. Now I know how criminals feel, lol. That's a joke.
1. What emotions and feelings does summer conjure up for you?
I am not a summer person, although I do like wearing shorts, tanks and flip flops. Summer during childhood were spent between Chicago and Lake Michigan with my grandparents. Fond, fond memories...of course, that was many moons ago...now, summers are just lazy.
2. What's summer weather like in your neck of the woods?
Here in the Southern Tier of NY we are still dealing with cool weather and truly won't get warm or hot until late June into July. We are lucky to get 4 weeks of summer and 2 weeks of 100* weather. Which is just fine with me.
3. Got some special summer meals you and your family enjoy?
We usually grill out; hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken etc. We rarely use the kitchen in the summer. No central ac here.
4. What do you enjoy doing in summer? Sports, trips.. do you go on vacation?

Vacation? What's that? In all reality we do head up to the family farm/old vineyard up at Keuka Lake. Sometimes camp out etc. Probably not this year, I have a feeling we will be busy moving and working. Come to think of it, we didn't last summer because of the ongoing shutdown.
Thanks for joining in. Hope each of you have a beautiful evening.

So many have mentioned going places with their families when they were kids. I did, too. What happened to us that we are so stuck at home these days? Yeah...I'm with you, let's rent that beach cottage and run away for the summer!
ReplyDeleteI'm game...grin
DeleteHi Linda. So sorry you had a rough day at work. I hope you get one of the jobs you interviewed for. Worst job interview I ever had was being grilled for over an hour and a half. I got offered the job, and it was the best school I ever taught at and I still miss teaching there. Rest well and have a better day tomorrow. :-)
ReplyDeleteOver an hour and half, whistling. I was about ready to run after 10 min. yesterday...grin.
DeleteThanks for joining in. Sorry about the work situation.. I hope something far better comes your way. Something you will love!
ReplyDeleteMe too, sigh...it was a really bad day---bad bad bad day where I was treated like a dog.
DeleteHi Linda:
ReplyDeleteI'm late on my comment.
We like grilling too.
I'm not a winter person. My favorite
season is Spring.
Have a good week.

My favorite is fall/Autumn. Hope you have a beautiful day, friend. smiles
DeleteGood Morning Linda! I am sorry to hear about the rough time with your job. I have been there and it sucks. I once had an interview about 10ish years ago that was (no joke) 3 hours long. They warned me ahead of time that it would be a long one. (I'm a graphic designer - not a surgeon!) There was a team of 4 people and they grilled me on everything professionally and personally for those 4 hours. It was rapid fire too, so there really wasn't much time to think about your answers either. It was insane. I was glad that I didn't end up getting that job because I think it would have been terrible in the long run. Anyway... Hope you have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI would of just died if it was 3 hours, seriously, what can a company think to talk about for all those hours? ((grin)) I wanted to run after 10 min yesterday, lol. ANYWAYS, hope you have a beautiful day.
DeleteSorry about the bad day, Linda.
ReplyDeleteReally.
I hope and pray that you are able to find a place that appreciates you and your hard work.
Waiting for spring here in PA. But much like where you are, we most likely will skip right to summer!
I'm late as always! Again, so sorry about the crummy day. It'll all be over soon, I'm sure, and you can laugh through your socks at them from afar. They're still stuck there in their pathetic, petty "kingdom" and you're moving onward and upward to better things. Nah nah nah nah! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda done with long vacations meself. I'd rather stay home in my own comfy bed and surrounded by all my do-dads and eat our own inexpensive healthy meals. I'm tired of paying big bucks to be bored, ripped off, uncomfortable and miss my doggies. Vacations are greatly overrated. Just sayin' ...
Love & Prayers xx
I got up and left one job "interview" in the middle of a written accounting test. I realized I was in over my head and just got up and left. I found a much better job shortly thereafter...better for me, that is, and actually it was better pay and everything else. So God is good. Hang in there. God has that perfect situation waiting for you. You can smile at your tormentors because you know God's got a better plan.
ReplyDeleteStill cold here too.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying a new job comes through soon - you need to get out of there!
