I actually have time on this fine Sunday morning to do the Tuesday 4.
Let's share our home secrets with one another. Maybe you have some ideas other ladies would love to hear about.
1. What household tool or appliance do you rely on a lot?
Well, since we are residing with friends at the moment...I would say the Insta Pot, and now Dave /my husband wants one. He has been doing most of the cooking. Also, the dishwasher, which I have not had in over 10 yrs. And our new home will have one as well.
2. Which laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dish detergent work best for you?
We/they use Dawn, and Walmart brand for the dishwasher.
--for the laundry we use All for sensitive skin (that would be me) and Downy Free.
3. What soap do you like to use? Where do you have soap in your home... bathroom, kitchen, shower?
I personally use Dove and my husband uses Irish Spring for the shower. Bathroom hand soap we have Soft Soap and its Coconut scented. Since we only like 45 min. from the beach, I prefer that scent, much to my husband's chagrin. LOL.
4. What is the secret to a clean home in your opinion?
Every day, wipe the shower and sinks down and also sweep the floors as well. Where we are currently living, they have real wood floors so it's easy to maintain. Our new home will have laminated flooring, so it will be easy to maintain as well. So, every day, keep the sinks, showers, toilets and such cleaned.

Oooo coconut scented soap, I will have to get some next time at the store to bring the "beach" to the house!! Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning!! I'm so glad you had time to play along today, although I know you wrote this on Sunday and you are probably getting ready for work now! I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day. We use All free and clear detergent too, and Dawn...Oh, I am happy that you will have a DW in your new house. I sometimes miss mine, but mostly when we have company for dinner. For just the two of us we manage okay as long as we take care of the dishes right away after each meal and not let them pile up. If I was still working I would want a DW again...oh wait! I AM working again! At Dixie Cottage practically every day! Hmmm, now I need to rethink that issue about the DW. LOL. Have a blessed and wonderful day my friend.
ReplyDeleteI know you are anxious to move into your own place. I think I’d love an insta-pot. My daughter loves hers.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has an Insta Pot and uses it all the time. I don't have one but one of these days I may get a small air fryer. I see lots of good recipes for them!
ReplyDeleteI'm so looking forward to seeing your new home. I know you are too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading your responses, Linda. We use All (free and clear) as well. I really like the crockpot, but my husband prefers his Power Pressure Cooker (similar to an Insta Pot). Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteIt can't be easy living with others, as nice and accommodating as they might be, Linda. Good advice, though, about keeping everything clean!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Ummmm, I love the scent of coconut. The taste, too, being I bought 10 Keto coconut yogurts last week. Close behind the Keurig, the Instant Pot is my hands down favorite!
ReplyDeleteI like the scent of Irish spring too. I don't know if an instant pot is worth it for me living all alone.. what do you think?
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. All good tips. We have wood floors in our current home and I love the ease cleanliness. We have carpet downstairs in the basement, which is good for warmth on the feet. I can tell how excited you are for that new home of yours and I hope things go quickly so you can get into it sooner than expected! See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThe dishwasher is a wonderful thing. That was one of mine too. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

Good advice!
ReplyDeleteI like my instantpot too, and yes to the dishwasher! I have a stick vac that I just love! It's lightweight and easy to use, works on wood floors, rugs and carpet. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree it is easier to do a little something everyday to keep things looking good. Floors without carpet are so much easier to maintain! Fun answers, Linda! Happy Hump Day (tomorrow)!
ReplyDeleteWe have a dishwasher but hardly use it. We kind of wash as we go. My hubby hates dishes in the sink. I am the one that usually cleans those sinks. We work as a team, but he does most of the cooking since retiring. For some reason I thought you were closer to the beach. I am about 30 miles, but it takes 45minutes to an hour to get there because of the traffic. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I commented.. but, I'd think about a dishwasher but I'd still have to load and unload the thing and the thing is , lately my spine is deadly sore. Standing to do dishes just plain hurts so bad. But loading the washer would be awful too. not sure where this will end up. Make sure, while you are in good health, to prepare just in case one day you aren't. Love you.. hope we hear good news soon. Praying.
ReplyDeleteGood answers! We are similar with the soaps. I love clean scents and Nick does too! He has a collection of soaps and candles he loves. Nick is allergic to every single soap product for laundry. Once his new ins. kicks in he will have to get tested to see what in the world causes him to swell up like a giant balloon! I love my dishwasher and the garbage disposal is good too. Thankful for much. Have a beautiful weekend. HUGS & LOVE & PRAYERS
ReplyDelete#1 I rely heavily on my electric toothbrush. So glad somebody invited this device!
