Oopsies Daisies...

Oopsie Daisies...hadn't realized it's been a whole week. Gonna' link back Monica.

Yeah, pretty much.

Time: 2pm

Scene: Soupy, over cloudy and looks like rain. 86* real feel is 93*, dewpoint 71*, humidity 60%.

Drinking: Sprite.

Dinner: Spaghetti and meatballs.

Doing: Nothing. We did run here and there this morning and back to Dunnellon to Walmart.

Pondering: Our little side trip we took yesterday:

we had a little rain, although when we were leaving their home, it was pouring and soon as we got to the Putnam/Marion County lines, it had stopped.

We decided to make a visit to fellow blogger Pamela's son and daughter in love's shop; Dixie Cottage in Interlachen. OH, and we did buy a rolltop desk and Benton (Pam' son) is kind enough to hold it for us until the house gets done.

After lunch we went to Pam and John's home. Such a lovely home, so much love etc...and there is the famous pond, right off their back porch. Unfort. we are sort of in a drought...some places get daily rain, and some don't. Here in Dunnellon/the Ocala are, we get daily afternoon rain.

Her famous sign. I asked demanded? her to see it (ok, ok, I sort of demanded it, lol)...like I said, their home is very lovely as they are as well.

And of course, I finally met Ms. Lily Grace and her friends. I did, however, forget to bring the George family and Stephen the Sloth. Honestly, we weren't sure if we were going to make the visit or not. Ms. Lily Grace sure is friendly and I even got a hug--ok ok, I might have just hugged her without asking, grin.

I firmly don't believe in coincidences; the good Lord puts us in places, people, etc. It is always wonderful when one can spend time with likewise/Christian folks. We had a great time, wonderful conversations etc. We shall be back...like I told/texted back and forth with Pam last night, you have our desk, LOLOL. Interlachen is only barely an hour drive.

Friendships are forever minted...and such a blessing it is.

  3. Pam and John are great friends!! I haven't been to their home by the pond but Joe and I did visit at their other house, where the bears were regular visitors! I am looking forward to visiting the new Dixie Cottage and seeing them again! Have a blessed week ahead, Linda (and Dave too)!! xo

  4. It sounded like you had a wonderful outing. I had to reread your post because at first I thought you had gone to Ohio (OH) before it sunk in. Yum on the spaghetti and meatballs! Perhaps we will have that sometime this coming week. Tonight, we are having chicken breasts, rice, from the garden (our neighbor's) sliced tomatoes and a couple ears of corn.

  5. Like you, I enjoyed Pam and John's home the times I've been there to visit. They both know how to make a house feel like home, both with decorating and with their hospitable personalities. I'm so glad it worked out for you and Dave to go see them AND their kids' shop.

  6. Hi Linda. I had missed hearing from you and was just thinking about you this morning wondering how everything was going. So glad you could meet up with your blogging friend Pamela and her husband John. Bloggers are some of the nicest people in the world! I went to Pamela's blog and LOVED the great pictures of you and David there! Sounds like your job is a little stressful so you will be in my prayers. Jobs can get that way. I hope the coming week is a good one for you. See you again soon!

  10. Wow! I thought you'd never post this!! LOL. It was such a wonderful blessing to have you and Dave here with us yesterday! We are still talking about it. We talked about it even in our Sunday School class this morning. Our group is praying for you both...and our Pastor wanted to know if you lived close enough to come here to church. You know, your house hasn't been settled yet...you could still change your minds...LOL. I know it would be a bit of a drive to work, however. Anyway, we sure enjoyed our visit with you both and we would LOVE to have you come back anytime...and not just to get your desk! It was a wonderful visit. And Lily Grace and Bailey send their love...but she does hope you remember Stephan the Sloth and The George family next time! She was really a bit disappointed that they didn't come along...but I promised her they would meet next time, either here or there. Thank you again and please know that you are ALWAYS welcome!!!!

  13. I was so excited to see you and Pam together! What a treat! And here I used to live very near where you are now. I'll be in Florida at the end of this month but flying down to Venice to visit my daughter and son in law. The next time I drive, I'm making it a point to get together with you and with Pam! Can't wait to see the roll-top desk you boughot!

  15. I am so glad you got to meet up with Pamela! I can't imagine being in that humidity. We get heat from July-Oct, 90's and some 100's. But rare to get humidity. When I was in Texas, it was 105 plus humidity and it is very draining! Spaghetti sounds really good! I hope you have a great week!

  22. I hope you are getting the cool and showery weather we are having now in the Mid Atlantic. I actually had to wear a sweater to bible Study yesterday, a bit warmer today but will only get to 80 from now through next week. Oh, how I hope this is an early fall. I think I will create a fall wreath this afternoon! Blessings!

  23. We didn't have rain much until now - the afternoon showers are in abundance now. I know you're excited to be getting a house, Linda. And I hope you'll love it. I've not been blogging much either but getting a little tired of FB. :)

  24. When you get your own home, you will be able to use the A/C, as you prefer. Perhaps that could be a wee little consolation?

    Nahhhhhhhhhh.

    No real help.

Lovely to have found lovely friends.
