Just A Whole Lotta' Nothing...

Just a whole lotta' nothing...good morning from a very rainy/ dark/thunder storming Central Florida. I am sitting here in the back dining room where there is a tin roof and boy, I sure love the sound the rain and thunder is making. I am so ever thankful for our friends, truly I am. When no one else welcomed us, they did with open arms.  Ok, enough, I will get teary eyed, no more tears, Linda...Listen Linda...grin...First, I want to mention its

Maundy Thursday the day before the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior. I personally have had 4 months to reflect on many things/issues going on. It's a first of many firsts for us since our son passed on.

That is where my thoughts are and have been for a while now. One is never to lost to be saved...and folks, the devil is roaming freely. So, what else is going on here? Let's see...

---We slept on the land / house issue. And while we headed out yesterday to Sumter County for my in-person library job interview (they will let me know-rolling eyes) we stopped at the Land Office and found out the land and 3 other plots were sold. Yep---it wasn't in God's Plan...so here we are. AND IT'S OK.

---The issue with the Moving Company; our things is supposed to be delivered something between tomorrow and Saturday to our storage unit here in Ocala. The trucking company was very rude and told us they expect a 10% tip. Excuse me...and I might had words and he / the man said don't expect good service if we don't. WHATEVER. Plus they wanted 75% upfront fee to deliver. Around and around we went. I also might had told him that our late sons things are in there and he / the company better deliver it untouched or I will sue the h e hockey sticks out of them--I sure did and so our contract states they will recoup $45,000 of said items an that his things are unreplaceable. The man relented---so take that for a threat Mr. I did say that too. AND I might have also said to him I don't appreciate such rudeness or threats. You just can't bully a bully, just saying...because I can be one.

---Did I mention it's pouring rain? Glorious, beautiful rain. Grin. NONETHELESS it's a

Indeed it is. Regardless of all the evil around us, God is Good, friends. Have a beautiful day friends.

  1. Oh Linda, I am sorry about the land being sold, but the Good Lord does have a plan. Also sorry that you have to deal with the rudeness of the moving company. Enjoy the rain and have a good day.

  2. So sorry this is happening to y'all. I pray that everything is intact and in proper order. Good for you standing up for your rights! Boy howdy, that makes me sour on ever using any moving company though. I'm old and darn near feeble now and would have to if I ever (lost my mind and) decided to move away from our little slice of Paradise. Hope I don't lose my mind, although, there are some that say that's up for debate ... *lol* I wish we could have done more for y'all. Housing is still lower than everywhere else, so are taxes, and jobs are going wanting here. Guess it wasn't meant to be. C'est la vie.
    Love & Blessings. xx

  3. I can't believe how awful the moving company is being! And didn't you say it was a larger, national company? Shame on them! Oh, I would love to be there with you under the tin roof listening to the rain. Maybe one day. I so want to make a trip south to meet all my blogging buddies someday. I may have to go solo or with a friend because Tim always says he didn't leave anything in Florida so doesn't need to go back!

  5. I've read that real estate is going quickly everywhere. I'm sorry you didn't get what you had your eye on, but as I recall there's a lot of land in FL. Something will turn up. Happy Easter!

  6. So sorry to hear that parcel was already taken! Gotta believe the good Lord has something even better in mind.
Fie on those stinkers (movers)! Once you have everything in place, I hope you'll shine the bright lights on them so (maybe) someone else won't be snookered.

  7. That land was no good for you. It's coming. Trials on top of trials but it is that time of year when Satan has a field day annoying the children of God. We get to the point of being at the red sea with mountains behind us and no escape.. so we wait for the Lord to part the sea and we charge on through. Hugs. I think of you all the time during the day.

  9. Hi Linda, sorry to hear the land deal didn't work out. I am sure something better will happen for you. Sorry also about the moving company and good that you stood up to them! Enjoy the rain and relax.♥

  10. I hope you will be there when they deliver your stuff. Make sure they handle it properly. I will be praying. The only time we had things broken or stolen was when we used a moving company. All the rest of our 40 moves or more we did ourselves and with the help of friends or whoever we could find with a strong back, and nothing was ever broken. These guys sound like they need to be reported to the BBB. Unbelievable. I know God has a perfect lot picked out for you, and apparently that one wasn't it, so I expect you will find a better one around the corner! (LOL, I know Dave and Bob are already looking there. LOL) Take care my friend, and relax and enjoy the rain on the tin roof, although it has stopped here, but it was a nice surprise this morning to get it. My phone never told me it was going to rain today and I thought I was going to have to water my little plants outside. So happy God provided the free watering! (we pay for our water here). Well, I already know about the job, etc., so am waiting for more details as they happen. Love hearing from you. God is at work in your midst, my friend!!!

  11. We haven't had one drop of rain here, but I think there is some predicted for later tonight and/or tomorrow. Too bad about the land, but your are right... God has other plans and Liam is probably whispering in His ear about it, too!! Love & hugs!

  12. I'm sorry about the land, but you are right - if it's not Gods will, you don't want it.
I can't believe that trucking company. They better deliver that stuff!

  13. Moving companies can be very difficult. I am so sorry you are experiencing these issues with yours. I hope you can get your things delivered in good condition. So sorry to hear about the land. Yes, real estate is crazy everywhere right now. I know something else will open up for you. Can't wait to see what God has in store. Happy Easter to you all.

Sorry you are dealing with such a jerk at the moving company! geez, where is customer service these days? Have a wonderful Good Friday! :) Keep grinning!

  16. Never nothing here...

Your attitude is just perfect for handling the disappointment of learning that the land had been sold. This only means that something better is waiting.

A blessed Easter weekend to you...

  17. I've heard many horror stories about moving companies when you move long distances! I pray that they do not lose or harm any of your things, especially your sons!
