Just a short Post...

Good morning from Central Florida. It's just going to be a short post today. Have a million zillion things to today.

We did go over to the Ocala Antique Mall yesterday (and yes, I did buy a candy dish-more on that later)

and we also went to the Flea Market

Taken off YouTube

---Heading over to the Storage Place today

---Heading over to look at some land and then over the Manufacture/Modular Home place. ***And that is where we are at in our home search.

---Prob. should head over to Wildwood to find the Public Library as I have an interview Wednesday.

---Thankful for friends!!!! Thankful for folks who will listen to us and our grieving. And folks, can I just say, one just doesn't get over loosing ones son/child. Our friends (including here) are what have kept us sane these last 4 months. 4 months today...4 months...

  4. It doesn't seem possible it's 4 months already Linda. I'm sure your loss is still really hard to cope with and now you've had all the upheaval of moving to deal with too. It must be hard coping with all the uncertainty re home and jobs but hopefully everything will fall into place soon. It sounds like you have a good temporary base for now though. Good luck with the job applications.

  5. Wildwood looks like a nice place. Not so big and overwhelming like Ocala. I pray the land and/or home will be easy access to wherever you end up working. Part of the joy of going to work can be a nice or short drive.
I'm thankful for your friendship too. I wish I could have done more for y'all. I feel like I've failed somehow. Anyway, you deserve good things.
    Love & Blessings. xx

  6. Four months, and I know to you the grief is still as fresh as if it just was yesterday, and yet in some ways it seems like forever. I understand perfectly. And these anniversaries that come and go always seem to bring up a fresh reminder of that grief, but in time it also brings up fresh reminders of the wonderful person your son was and the happy memories you have of all the good times you had together. You will cherish every single memory, events, celebrations, good times and sad times...everything that was the life of your precious Liam. Memories will be sweet, but bittersweet as well. What I try to do is do something to honor our son's life in some small way on every 'anniversary'. Little things that make the moments special for you. Don't expect other people to always understand because they haven't lived what you've lived, nor loved as much as you've loved. Hopefully, however, those who care about you will honor and respect your need to cherish these moments and memories and will give you the space you need in order to do that. Sending you (((hugs))) right now and a little prayer that God will comfort your hearts today. Praying also for you as you contemplate the housing issue. May God give you wisdom and clear guidance as to what will be best for you in the long run. I will look forward to hearing what you discover! Have a blessed day and week. Just know you are loved.

  8. Is that Flea World? We used to go to a big flea market when we lived down that way, but I can't remember where it was located. Oh...a modular might just be the answer!

  9. True. We never get over losing anyone. We get on with living is the best we can hope for. Four months is such a short time.

Well, I thought I had bragging rights for giant flea markets, but after seeing that aerial shot...nope. I don't. Not even.

A library would be a lovely job I think.

  10. I grieve always and forever for those I have lost. I don't care what others think. when they are mean about it and say move on. No, you move on. I pray for you each day. I hope the search for land and the modular homes works out well. My SIL Lucy has a beautiful modular home. But she needs land as they rent the space and there are so many rules! Building on your own property is the best. God will guide your way as He holds on tighly to you and Dave. He knows your loss of Liam is difficult and will be that way. You do what you want Linda and never pay attention to anyway telling you there is a time limit on grief. Much love to you today. I am very fiesty as we changed internet providers and are kicking our old house phone/landline to the curb! They were so mean at Century Link. We are not paying you what we paid for the crummy internet service for a phone service. You can take the landline and say goodbye forever more. If CS is no longer at a business, I no longer service that business. :-)

  15. Ditto what Barb said (and others above). You and Dave remain in my prayers, Linda. God is good. Keep us posted about the land and the manufactured home. I sure love mine!! Take a day and come down to see me. It's only a 2-hour easy drive. I get home at 1:30. Would love to show you both around and treat you to dinner. Check your calendar!! You can be home before dark!! Love & hugs!

  16. Hi Linda. I hope everything works out with the land and modular home. We were going to go that route when we lived in Central California over 30 years ago and couldn't afford a home. We could afford a piece of property and a nice, big modular home, but we could afford the cost of digging a well in dry California. You probably won't have that problem. Good luck on the job interview. Sending you virtual hugs.
