Beating Monica this morning to her meme; Front Porch Friends.
Time: 7:20 am
Scene: 42* quite chilly here in Central Florida.
Today's Plan: It's Palm Sunday the beginning of Holy Week. However, we have to find a storage facility for our things that is in a storage facility to go too. Also, we might go to some Antique Stores and Flea Markets today.
Drinking: Nothing yet. As a matter of fact, I am still lying-in bed.
Listening to: The birds outside, Dave and Kim chit chatting (they are happy go lucky morning folks, I am/ me and Bob are not, lol).
Reading: Does real estate listings count?
Pondering:
--Stripping the bed linens and throwing everything in the wash and hanging them on the cloths line.
--Pondering that I should get up and get around to start the day.
--I Know Kim is in the kitchen and from what I can hear she is making a homemade Peach Pie and getting the stuff around to make homemade Chicken and Dumplings for tonight. That country girl can cook, just saying. grin---Claude next door (ha next door) bought over some peaches and apples. Nice man. His daughter is a realtor---unfort...everything is overpriced right now. Claude is originally from West Virginia and still has sweet accent. He said he remembers us and how sorry he is to learn of our sons passing as he thought that boy was the nicest boy (we were here 12 or so yrs ago for my brother's wedding--to which I had forgotten about) and he thought peaches and apples would cheer us up, how sweet. News is getting around to the community now. Folks we haven't seen in years are stopping by. Something will eventually break in the housing department.

Good luck! Have a great day. :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning my sweet friend! I guess you will always beat me here being an hour ahead of us but, that's ok. I love to chat any time. When I live in a one bedroom apartment I had most of my things (along with Grandma's) in a storage shed. It was totally safe. I totally forgot it was Palm Sunday. I should have made plans to actually attend a local church. Haven't found one yet. I love antique/flea markets, line dried clothes/sheets, peach pie and apple dumplings! It's nice to have neighbors like Claude!
ReplyDeleteIt is 46 degrees here in Missouri this morning! LOL!
Well friend, I had better visit around and get ready for the day! Have a blessed one!
Reading Real Estate listings does count. I enjoy watching the market even though we're not planning on moving.
ReplyDeletePraying for y'all that something will open up soon.
I thought you'd be huntin' for a Church. Hope you find one that you can call home soon too.
Love & Blessings. xx
Have a blessed Sunday, Linda!
ReplyDeleteAll in God's timing. I know you are counting your blessings and I am so happy you made it back to Florida! xo
ReplyDeleteKim's super menu sounds delish! Would you believe, I've never tasted chicken and dumplings? There's nothing like the aroma of sheets that have been allowed to dry outdoors. In case you're keeping score, put down on the Bob/Kim side (aka chipper morning person). Sorry, not sorry! LOL
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and praying for a great home for you.
ReplyDeleteI love this post. IT sounds peaceful and so country like. Neighbors stopping by with fresh peaches and apples (where did they get fresh peaches this early, I am wondering??) and someone baking a peach pie already...and chicken and dumplings...oh my! Do they have room for anymore house guests? LOL. I was wondering about your stuff in storage, if they dropped it near you, or what was the story about that. Do you have to move it yourselves? That's not a happy thought. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Praying it all works out okay. I would imagine you would want your stuff close enough to you in case you need something. But then, will you have to hire another truck to come move it when you are ready to move into your own home? Yikes. Although we did that when we moved here. We had to leave our house in Salt Springs pretty quick, and had to stay in temporary quarters for about 6 weeks, so our stuff was moved to storage (actually in the garage/house where we stayed), and then we had to get another UHaul and move it again. No fun, but at least it wasn't unpacked and repacked. Okay, I loved this post. Didn't you love this cool morning/day? Pretty close to perfect I'd say. Take care my friend. Good things are coming.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I hope you had a nice day today. Did you find anything at the antique stores? I know you had to sell some of your collected pieces. I like to go to antique stores too! Nice that Kim likes to cook. Enjoy it and relax. Have a great week!♥
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to have you in town, girlfriend!

LOVE & HUGS to you.
