By the time you view this, I will be long gone to work.
Since I am gainfully employed this Christmas Season, unlike previous seasons, I left the Christmas decorating to two grown men this year. So, I will share...and nope...not going to critique things nor "fix" things.
There is a Poinsettia in the Trifle Bowl. Interesting, ok...than... moving on.
They decided to hang Merry Christmas on either side (this view is from the kitchen looking into the dining/family room)
Speaking of kitchen. They put a Christmas color theme. My son, "You know, there is a draft coming in that kitchen window, so we decided to make it red and green." Ok then...
Ok, I lied...I did "fluff" up this area. Unfort...it now looks like this (below)--since my chair was taken out for the tree, I have no place to put my bag from work or my jacket, gloves, scarf etc.
and lastly, the tree.
All in all...I think they did a good job. I am wondering though, where the huge Nutcrackers went that usually stand at guard at the entrance way...no one seems to know what happened to them (oh they do, but me thinketh they-the elves got tired).
The tree topper got replaced with the Christmas Angel that our landlady gave us.
Oh and the Candy Cane wreath. She knows hard decisions are coming up...

I like the Christmas tree angel. Ours is lookin' sad. The lights all blew on it!! It's not even old. Can't find another like it. Steve said he'll try to fix it after Christmas. Well, golly, that doesn't do me any good NOW! *lol* Aw, he's sweet to try. All this stuff now is cheap Chinese junk.
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining here which is always very welcome. But now it's cold and wet which makes grocery shopping a bit unpleasant. That's OK. We need the rain.
Hope your day was pleasant, easy and stress-free.
Love & Prayers xx
I think it all looks festive! Good job to your fellas!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda and Happy Monday! I love what your husband and son did to decorate! Looks great. You are blessed to have such a great family! Hope your week goes well. See you again soon.
ReplyDeleteI love your decorations and especially love that someone else did them for you!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely... :)
ReplyDeleteI think they did a great job! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that candy canme wreath! Girl, how sweet and thoughtful that your guys decorated for you. I just love it all. Happy Week dear Linda. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteSmiling from ear to ear! Methinks your men folk did a splendid job. Honest, I don't know very many husbands that would put that much thought into decorating. (Not naming names, ya know. Heh-heh.)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty tree! Nice that your men have helped. My hubby brings in the tree and puts up the outside lights. I do the rest. I was almost done but got sick. There is always next year!
ReplyDeleteI think your guys did good!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the 'boys' did a great job! Hang in there!! xo
ReplyDeleteAw...the guys did a great job and so nice of them to help you out. I am laughing at the poinsettia in the truffle bowl, though. LOL It must be a guy thing, that disappearing of things they don't feel like messing with. I've heard that line many times over the years.
ReplyDeleteThey've done a wonderful job! The poinsettia in the trifle bowl is inspired. (I once put primroses in mine.) Hope that it was a good day at work. I hope that you are getting a special dispensation regarding having to stand too long on your poor foot.
ReplyDeleteYour guys did a good job and it was less work for you! Hope you have a good day at work.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Hey, at least they did it!! I cried real tears of joy when my son put the lights on the tree for me without me asking or knowing. That was something to celebrate! I love what your boys did for you! This will be a very special and memorable Christmas for you!
ReplyDeleteYour elves did a good job with the decorations. Do you offer their services?
