Friday Photos Overload

Good Morning from a cold and snowing (still!) Western New York. I do believe we ended up with nearly a foot of snow from the storm the other day (Monday?)...classes were cancelled and everyone pretty much shut down.

There is so much ice on the lines. Speaking of ice, I fell at school and literally fell down the hill, me and a few others. Busted my rear end, so to speak, my knees are black and blue and a nasty mark on my back. Let's just say, I am acutely aware of my age now. Before anyone asks, no they had not put salt down yet...and that seems to be the big running joke on campus, the lack of preparations.

But, you know, that's life here in the north.

I came home yesterday to two nice surprises...one being above, hubby got the little TV in my 'office' turned on (cable box). Now I can watch all the silly Christmas Hallmark I want, wink. He knows it has been a rough week, that's all I am saying.

and they decorated the entry way into the family room. Hubby said no lights can go on it because there are no more outlets. I will probably hang more ornaments on it.

I have been so busy with school. Yesterday was the last day of scheduled classes. I have one paper and one final essay exam to finish which is due on the 16th. I was so happy to have had the Monday off, I used it very wisely and finished two papers.

I really need some Christmas magic (change of attitude). So, I will be working this weekend and into this coming week to finish that last paper and final exam essay so I can have that change of attitude.

Have a great day all. I need to get around, every Friday we have to do my mil's grocery shopping for her.

  1. OUCH! Take care and give yourself time to heal. I'm speaking as one who has wiped out on ice several times in the past and ALWAYS landed on my left knee. I always bounced back easy enough except for the last time when I got fluid in my knee and had some on-going pain. Now, years later, it's giving me a lot of grief.

Get that paper done, girl, and let the Christmas spirit flow!

  4. I miss Hallmark christmas movies. I had to let cable go as I can't afford it anymore. Getting that way with computer cable now too. Hopefully I can stay on it but who knows.
I am sorry you fell. I just get so angry at these colleges that rake in the money and yet do nothing for students at all. They are headed for a law suit.. just saying.
I hope you can relax and enjoy but, with the solar minimum we are expecting a rough winter.

  6. Ouch. I'm sorry about your fall. Yes, our age - I am terrified of the ice now. When I was young, I bounced right back. Now, it's a totally different story.

  7. Owie, I know that hurt. So glad you weren't seriously injured, but that will make you ache for a while. So wonderful your hubby and son are taking good care of you and your house and making it cheery and bright...even if you can't put more lights up! I know what you mean. We don't have any outdoor electric outlets, so we can't put much outside. I miss having more lights, but I can't leave the windows open to put a cord through! LOL. Anyway, your street looks so like an iconic northern little town...love it. Fresh Winter/snow has a way of making it all look so pretty. Please take care and pace yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day, so they say. I know I've tried and couldn't do it either. LOL

  8. That fall sounds totally nasty. Perhaps the school needs to be threatened with a lawsuit to get its act together. One should not have to get killed to go to school. Good grief!

Glad that you’re on the home stretch with finals and papers. It’s more than time for a break, a breather, a vacation!

The house is looking so festive! And how wonderful to have your tv all set up for the Hallmark channel.

  9. You guys really got it with that storm. Sorry about the ice and the fall!
I'm glad your break is coming soon.
I like the Hallmark movies too. So nice for you to have your own little tv to watch.

  10. Hi LInda. So sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you heal up quickly. Hope you also get your papers done and end your semester strong. Our son, Josh, is in the middle of final papers and projects here, so I get it. Have a good week. Enjoy your Hallmark movies!
