 Outside my window… It is 72* and sunny.I am thinking… How fast the weekend goes by.

• I am thankful…for the chance to be a mom for 24 years. Although, my heart is heavy, but ever so thankful we had 24 years.
• In the kitchen… Not sure...Breakfast? I don't know. Hubby made tacos last night and they were a bit spicy. Today? I am not sure. 
• I am wearing… pink sleep shorts with hearts on them and a black tank. (yep, still in pj's)
• I am creating… hmm...nothing? I am going to bake a cake later, does that count?
• I am going… No where but the pool today. Hubby is going to go put gas in my truck and stop at Publix.
• I am reading… nothing of importance. I really ought to get my lesson plans done--I am teaching about WW2 this week. After a delightful meeting with the bossman and going over the curriculum that was written by his secondhand man, I pretty much aired my dissatisfaction with things left out such as WW1, WW2, Cold War and Vietnam. They are on the GED after all. I was given permission to go back to the 16 weeks Calander (it was changed to 8 weeks) and start adding things back etc. Win win. 

• P.S. I will no longer entertain discussing anything with that person. Nor are they (the 2nd and 3rd person in charge) allowed into my classroom anymore. That 3rd person came in and sat for the full 7 hours to "evaluate" me. That is a no no.
• I am hoping…For an end to the insanity in the nation and the world. (Amen Annie!!!)
• I am looking forward to…Friday.😁🤣😉
• Around the house… hmm...nothing. Really need to finish the kitchen, but neither of us really have any get up and go. LOL

This or That...

 Good morning from a very balmy central Florida. We spent time in the pool yesterday evening until the dark clouds and thunder rolled in. BTW, the pool is back to 85*. It's Mother's Day weekend and honestly, it is just bittersweet. The loss of a loved one never really goes away. And, that my friends, is the truth. Moving along...

This or That: The Mom Edition

Wash Clothes or Wash Dishes – for some odd reason, I enjoy the laundry. Especially when I can hang the sheets on the line outside. There is nothing like clean, crisp sheets.

Order Take-out or Cook at Home – Cook at home. Oh, we go out from time to time but never take out. I prefer eating at home.

Facebook or Instagram – I have FB, but rarely, do I use it. Just to like or love a post, because of my job and such, I am unable to comment or share things. Especially political stuff.

Be a Host or Both. I can pick both, right?

Coffee or Tea – I do love coffee and sweet ice. But coffee usually wins.

Comedy or Action Movie – honestly, it just depends on what kind of mood I am in.

Camping or Cruise – Glam camping (lol), I just can't ever imagine being on a cruise, packed in like sardines. No thanks. 

Netflix or Amazon Prime – Amazon Prime. Thanks to my monthly membership, we can watch all the movies, shipping is free and such for free.

Wake up Early or Sleep In-It depends. Today I woke up at 6:45. However, with that said, I was in bed by 8 last night. I was so just tired. Came in from the pool, dried off and went to bed.

Craft or Bake – definitely baking.

Girls’ Night Out or Family Night---umm...always family night or date night--with the hubby. Because even if I am out with a friend, I am always thinking of hubby. Feeling a tad bit guilty because honestly, since I am gone from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm every single day, I barely get to see him.

Pizza or Burgers – Pizza always win. Publix had their thin pizzas on sale yesterday for $3 a piece, so that is what we had. They were really good. However, I do love a good burger such as Five Guys.

Carpet or Hardwood – we have no carpeting in our home, none, zilch, so hardwood or laminate. We do have throw rugs here and there, but you know, we do have a massive German Shepherd who sheds like there is no tomorrow.

Today, hopefully, we will be in the pool. I see its going to be cloudy at some point and calling for rain, but we will try to get in the pool. Tomorrow, haircuts, yes on a Sunday. I suppose we could go today, but why? The pool is calling, LOL. Priorities, LOL.

---the meeting that was supposed to take place on Thursday got postponed until next week. Thanks to all the activities that was going on with employee appreciation week-as administration such as the warden etc. serve us etc. Yesterday was superhero day and ice-cream Sundays. My superhero? I am a teacher, that is a superhero. If only folks would understand what teachers go thru on a daily basis, LOL. And no, I did not have ice-cream, because its 95* and I am intolerant of milk products. sigh. It looked so good, and I was so tempted to do so, but knew if I did, I would pay for it later.
