| umm...maybe I ought to plead the 5th. LOL |
Time: 6:45 am-got up early because Ms. Lily Belle was ringing the bell to go out.
Scene: 72* and sunny on this Sunday morning. Gonna be a hot one again, 95*.
Drinking: Fixing to get a second cup of Breakfast Maxwell House coffee.
Thinking:
--Speaking of Lily...this is what she does all day long. I gather she is becoming more like her owners-no one wants to go out in this heat and humidity. L-a-z-y.
Which I was yesterday (l-a-z-y). We were out of the house by 7 am, got the oil change, stopped at the
Diner on the Square where we had breakfast for a total of $15(always a lot of food!) then went to Walmart and was back home by 9:30. And know what we did? NOTHING. I retreated to the couch where I stayed until 10pm. I am now on Season 14 for Midsomer Murder. I made Nathan's hot dogs for dinner at around 4 pm, as that was what hubby wanted.
**hey on another thought, it's great to be able to pause tv programs. What a day and age we live in now.
--summer is upon us here in Florida. Or as I should say the humidity is upon us here. Just plain "ugh".
--The neighbors to the left of us are having all their trees removed. One fell the other day during a storm and demolished their shed-and hit our privacy fence, they fixed our fence, which was super nice of them. So, now they are having all the trees removed. Pretty smart...what with hurricane season and all.
--I really ain't got nothing today. It is really just so hot and humid; the ac is nice. Hubby said, "Are we having another staycation today?" You betcha. Yikes, the price of gasoline, $3.59 gallon here.
Making me laugh:
You have heard me mention this plenty of times, but Ocala isn't slow anymore. One literally takes their own life in their hands when they get out on the roads. I am seeing a lot more northern license plates nowadays.
**hmm,...could it be that folks are just fed up with politics? Especially when you have desperate northern governors running their non smart mouths.

The Diner on the Square sounds like my kind of place to eat. Driving in Northern Virginia (where I used to live) sounds like driving in your area. Glad I don't have to do it that often these days. Enjoy your staycation today, Linda! Miss Lily Belle is a cutie.
ReplyDeleteIt's been kind of cool here the last few days, high today is supposed to be 75. So we don't have that hot humid weather, but you are so right about the politics.
ReplyDeleteOur governor is one of the worst!
I liked all the memes, Linda!! Truth!! Glad you got out and about yesterday before it got too hot and crazy out there. I love Midsomer Murders. You have gotten ahead of me, I think. I'm watching Death in Paradise and Long Lost Family in between catching MIdsomer and a few others. Have a good weekend and enjoy your short week ahead!!
ReplyDeleteFunny cartoons...and we've seen all of Midsomer Murder! We even go back and watch them at random...Love that show! Now we're watching Death in Paradise...Love it, as well! (Brit Box)
ReplyDeleteI don't miss your long hot summers!
ReplyDeleteYour Lily is so pretty! What "What It's Like" meme made me laugh out loud! After our recent storms Tom said he's ready to call our tree guy and have a couple big ones taken down. I don't like having to pay those big bucks ... but it would be far costlier if one were to come down on our house.
ReplyDeleteHeat and humidity wouldn't be a good combination for me. I will stay put here in Utah. When it gets hot, at least it's a dry heat. I hope you have a good weekend. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say, Linda, is you can call me a clown and a deplorable any day and I'll take it as a compliment! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's 93* and very humid which makes it feel like 100*. Ugh is right!
ReplyDeleteI totally get their escaping the Communist cesspools that they created in their own States but I DON'T want them to bring that kind of voting down here or complain about living in the South! *wink*
Have y'all seen the news about how the ATF has gone off the rails and are now murdering innocent American citizens with that "no knock" policy??!! Steve put a link on his timeline about it. This is happening over and over again. I'm definitely praying more and keeping my "piece" closer than usual ...
Stay safe. Love. 💙
I enjoy pajama days. I think you should totally relax. You have a demanding job and resting is important! I sure hope you can get to the beach. Lily Belle wants you to rest with her. I decorated my seasonal tree with patriotic decor and tomorrow I am resting. Happy Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is brutally hot. All week long! No rain in sight! Yikes! We don't need any hurricanes, but some good old fashioned thunderstorms in the afternoon would be nice. The pond is drying up, but it will refill once the rains start up again. I thought you were taking a vacation this weekend? Did I miss something? Anyway, I hope you are enjoying some rest and relaxation. We are at home today because John is prepping for a colonoscopy tomorrow. Fun Fun Fun. I will have to talk to you later about Thursday. We will know better tomorrow about some other appointments we are supposed to have this week. Meanwhile, just keep cool and relax. Yes, the "yankees" are coming! The Yankees are coming! They just keep pouring in down here from up there! Can't blame them, but yes, just leave your "politics" up there unless that is what you are escaping on purpose. "nuff said.".
