Tuesday Meme

Joining in with the Tuesday Meme from Annie...pre posting this on a Sunday for Tuesday.

Howdy Partners... welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.

Today let's talk about the West.

1. Got some favorite Cowboy or western movies or TV shows you have liked?

Sure-Bonanza (the shows from previous years), Last American Cowboy and now

2.  Ever been to a rodeo or horse show of any kind?

Yep. Love them. Ocala is known as the horse capitol of the world and pretty much everywhere you go there is a horse statue. The World Equestrian Center always has something going on. I know, it's not the same as cowboying on a ranch.

3. Can you ride a horse, or would you like to try?

Yes and no thanks. I am afraid my height fearness is a problem, LOL.

4.  How would a vacation on a dude ranch suit you?

Been there, done that, worked one...my husband was raised on a thoroughbred farm, no thanks...can't I just be a rich owner and not do any work, LOL.

Have a great day!

  1. Enjoyed your answers, Linda! I love Bonanza. They definitely don't make shows like they used to. Have a good Tuesday!

  2. I used to watch Bonanza too.
I wouldn't want to vacation on a dude ranch, I've never even rode a horse. :)
I'll take the mountains and wood for a get away!

  3. Now I'm jealous of Dave being raised with thoroughbred horses! One of the biggest thrills of my young life was visiting one of Ocala's farms and having my picture taken with a race horse. Nowadays I'll pass at getting up in the saddle, but I'd still love to watch a real rodeo.

  4. OK, you can be a rich owner. I watched 2 episodes of Yellowstone and didn't like it much. Maybe I should give it another chance.

  5. We are so enjoying watching Yellowstone, too, Linda. But a dude ranch? I don't think so . . .
    Blessings!

  6. Hi! I like the last answer. LOL! Iff some wishes would come true. But as an owner you should be able to ride a horse, don't you?

  7. I may have been put on a horse's back when I was about 10 years old, but obviously it was not a memorable experience one way or the other. But I do enjoy visiting horses in their stables (i.e. when they are behind a gate of some kind). We watch westerns on TV here every day after lunch while dozing. I catch the beginning of the story and the end, and usually have no idea what was really going on but it's generally clean TV. Rawhide is what we saw today.

As for the World Equestrian Center, I do enjoy walking around there to see whatever they have going on at any given time. And I enjoy their restaurants. Their Mexican place serves good street tacos and nachos. I've not dined inside the hotel restaurants except for that bakery just outside the [outrageously expensive] toy store (inside the hotel).

  8. I'm about being rich!!! But since I'm not, I'll just mosey on over to my recliner and have a sit down.

  11. Your number for made me laugh. Can I go your dude ranch and sit on the porch with you? Just watch the horse and maybe pet a foal? :)

  12. I like your idea of being the rich owner and not doing any work. That's my kind of dude ranch! LOL. Yes, you do live in the horse capital of the country...I love all the beautiful painted horses around Ocala. I'd like to visit the new Equestrian center sometime, but not sure when that will happen. Hope you are doing well. We are finally home from our trip! Long trip...good, but glad to be home again.

  15. I missed this, makes me sad. We love all the old Westerns, Cheyenne, Raw Hide, Wagon Train, so many....Lorne Greene was in an episode of Wagon Train, what a fantastic actor he was. Miss all the old school TV series. I lost my fear of horses when my grandma's cousin set me on his horse. He let me fed the horse a sugar cube and some carrots too. Horses are such remarkable creatures. I was just a small child. Have not riddden a horse in a long time though. I remember my SIL Roger telling us about Ocala, goodness I miss him. He was a Florida boy born and raised. I always had high hopes we would all travel there together. He was from the keys. I learned a lot about Florida from him. . . Take care and have a beautiful week.
