Since I don't have much to talk about...I'll just keep it simple and real ((grin)).
TIME:
7:45 AM
SCENE:
60* & Cloudy. Suppose to be back to the mid 70's today and more rain later.
DRINKING:
My first cup of coffee -New England Breakfast with Italian Cream.
WHATS FOR DINNER?
Excellent question. My husband mentioned fish (baked cod). But I am just not interested--he wants that so he said he will find me something else. Grin
***On second thought he asked me to make Chicken Alfredo with Peas (he likes it with peas).
WHAT'S ON TAP FOR THE DAY?
Nothing much. We decided to venture out yesterday for a bit to the grocery store. Got caught up in the pouring rain on the way out of the store -hubby was hungry and we stopped at McDonalds. It actually was pretty good. ANYWAYS, we were soaked, came home and put the heat on for a bit. We became couch potatoes until about 11 pm; had leftover Beef Stew and watched tv, played on our laptops.
--Today hubby wants to clean out the heating/air ducts. Looks to be another cloudy/rainy day here. Prob. more organizing.
PONDERING:
Not much. The state of affairs we are in here in America/Globally. Hence why I have not been online much...it's really sad the double standards one lives by; from the current occupancy of the WH, to money grabbing politicians, war, lies, lies told by the news, crime, inflation, literal gaslighting etc. and so forth. It is sad.
LISTENING TO:
Hubby asking me did I want some cinnamon tolls for breakfast-he is going to put them in the oven. He is also discussing politics (reading the news) and discussing what 2 Timothy has to say about all this.
TWO FUNNIES TO SHARE:
and this where we are as a country-folks are just ok with it...jmo.
BUT THE TRUTH:
Have a beautiful day all.

Chicken Alfredo sounds yummy with or without peas. I hope you have a peaceful day, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI'm not as right wing conservative as you are Linda but I too fear for our land. Where has all the common sense gone?????? That comic about the stove.....OMGOSH priceless. And so sad. I honestly haven't like any president much since Bush. Yes, I liked him and Laura. Classy. And they love God. You wrote about the recipe i posted......it honestly wasn't that great!!! We tried it exactly the way the recipe was......it was my 2nd time making it. the first time i left out the quinoa and cooked brown rice on the side and it was delish. This time I followed the recipe I posted and YUCK. the quinoa was WAY overdone.....the chicken and spices were good but...we said ok, that's recipe to NOT repeat. hahahah....Have a beautiful Sunday. I'm actually hoping my part of NY (eastern) gets some snow tonight. we have had NONE since early December and then it was only 3 inches and melted within 2 days.
ReplyDeleteI found a recipe for the InstaPot, and nothing lost if it's not good. I actually been liking the InstaPot--so we shall see. I wondered how your recipe had turned out. smiles (Quinoa is just one of those hit/miss things, sigh--I like it with my yogurt, yes yogurt).
DeleteWell I want an InstaPot! Have been thinking about it for a while. Now since I know you like yours, I will be getting one asap (which could be a while) LOL
DeleteHi Linda. Timothy was correct. Sad and scary state of affairs in the entire world. It's good to know that God knows what is going on and is in charge. I hope you have a good Sunday. See you again soon.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, hope you have a beautiful day as well. smiles
DeleteChicken Alfredo with Peas sounds good to me. We're having a lot of snow and ended up canceling church. We didn't expect as much as we're getting and not wanting anyone to get hurt, hubby cancelled. So we're home now and I'm planning to make a knock-off version of stroganoff for lunch. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteWOW Snow...I do not miss it. Come to find out, I need warmth...ask me come next month into like Sept. LOLOL---as I will be screaming for cool weather, lol. I am sorry you had to cancel church but understanding considering. smiles
DeleteI am not okay with it. I am LiViD.
ReplyDeleteHope the Chicken Alfredo is delicious!
It usually is, I am making it in the Instapot--so I shall let you know. smiles---oh us Conservatives are not happy I was referring to quite a few pinheads out there, lol.
DeleteI agree with your ponderings! It's a sad state of affairs, jsmh! Didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the jokes, once again, it's a sad state of affairs. Because I don't get out much I watch too much tv and spend too much time on my laptop. Well, let's just say, the tv is on all day, most of the time I'm not really paying it much attention. It was cold and raining yesterday, today it's cold but the sun is shining, I it !!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was chilly and rainy yesterday. Today its near 80 but it has been raining off and on here, to which I had no idea because the blinds are closed here in front to keep the heat out. grin. Have a beautiful day friend.
DeleteI'm with Vee in being LIVID with the state of affairs and the double standards. God warned us about it in Matthew. He will do what must be done, though, I'm leaving it in His capable Hands.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had an Instapot. The Chicken Alfredo sounds heavenly! I like Chicken anything, actually.
It's raining like crazy up our way. Church is over and we're safely ensconced in our humble home, drinking coffee, munching on Keto bread, and watching a British film on YouTube Free Movies. Life is good thanks to Jesus.
Love & Prayers xx
It rained here like crazy yesterday--today it's been off and on here today and right now its sunny and like 80 quite humid. Yes, life is good, smiles.
DeleteOh, please won't you share the IP recipe? A little while ago, instead of browning the pork loin on the stove-top I used the IP's saute function, then to caramelize the onions. Never going back!
ReplyDeleteThe recipe is easy. How about I share it prob tomorrow if the phone camera is working--lately it doesn't want to work. smiles
DeleteThe situation in our country is so very very sad and upsetting. I cannot watch the news for long...I get too angry and upset and just have to turn it off because it literally makes me sick to see what lengths the liberals in DC will go to to further their sick agenda. Our nation has turned its back on God, but God will not be mocked. We are in the last days and I pray for those who continue to walk around with blinders on pretending it isn't so. I am ready for Jesus to come and look forward to His arrival in the eastern skies. Meanwhile, your chicken alfredo w/peas sounds good to me. I like that combo too. That's a comfort food if you ask me...or just plain old creamy chicken and noodles w/peas. Haven't had that in a while Now I want some. LOL. But I'm fresh out of chicken. Guess it will have to wait. Have a blessed day my friends. Love ya both.
ReplyDeleteLove you as well. Yep, comfort food, indeed.
DeleteThe double standard in this country drives me absolutely bonkers, Linda. It's as plain as the nose on their face, but most of the media fails to even point that out. How long has the FBI had Hunter's laptop??? I fear the security of our country has been compromised by this crooked administration. Let's pray that God would reveal the truth - His truth.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I made Pasta Alfredo late this past week, too, adding peas and browned ground beef with diced onions. Had it for two meals and it was soo good.
ReplyDeleteThe scripture you shared could be from today's newspaper!
Yummy... when's dinner did you say? :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a nice time away from work.
ReplyDeleteMy husband also likes peas in his alfredo.
He also said he should quit reading the newspaper, the news is not good, politics is sickening!
Today is Sanctity of Life Sunday. I hope Christians continue to pray for the unborn.
ReplyDeleteChicken Alfredo with peas! It actually sounds good! Will have to give it a try one of these days! Alfredo sauce is SO good! Linda, you know I agree with you on those political points. I just try to stay away from the news and front pages of the paper. Have a blessed week ahead! xo
ReplyDeleteThe country is marking time. I don't see much that can save it anymore. Patriotism is not the answer when sin is commonplace and all through the nation. Chicken alredo sounds so good!
ReplyDeleteLinda, your stew sounded good to me! I was just thinking today about making some venison stew maybe for next Sunday's dinner for my family. It's always a crowd pleaser at my house. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI have been reading and listening to the book of Timothy today. My friend Carleen loves sending these memes about the WH occupants. Another friend, nearly 90, posts all the dirt on all of them. Her husband is a retired pastor and their state of Arizona is turning into my home state of Colorado and the others NY, Cali, ugh.....I am sure there are more. George Orwell said "During times of universal deceit, the truth becomes a revolutionary act." Oh my goodness, my friend Susan who is a fantastic cook made baked Cod and it looked wonderful. Thankfully she gave us the recipe. Her husband calls her kitchen, Susie's Cafe. In the words of my brother Ed, "Anne, you are jumping all over the place!" Hahaha! Trying to keep the brain moving forward. I like your header and the pretty pinks here today. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly stand the news and I even can't stand to see the faces of some "leaders" any more! I have never in my life been so not OK what our government right now! Anyway, have a wonderful day and I hope you get sunshine!
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult watching the news for sure. Thankful for God! He'll show them!
