Joining in on the Tuesday Meme in honor of dear friend Toni (I still can't say "late" or departed).
Let's talk about you this week.
1. How are you unique or different from your friends or family? How typical are you?
LOLOLOL. Everyone knows I def. beat to my own drum. Oh, I might have my parents characteristics, but I'm def. way too stubborn. Wait, maybe I am alike. grin
2. How do you spend your spare time? books, hobbies, visiting, tv etc.
I like to read and have a vast array of books (ongoing joke is I could open my own library and where ever we have moved, the books go with, just saying). I also like to watch HGTV or the Farm Channel. I like visiting folks, but since my husband is more of the social butterfly than me, he has a hard time knowing when to leave, lol.
3. What was high school like for you?
Hated it. I (we) refuse to attend any reunions. Never have, never will. Our 37th Anniversary is coming up, I see these folks on FB and its still the pretty people pitted against us normal folks.
4. This question has multiple parts:
a. Handbag: designer style or any will do?
I really like Vera Bradley and have several of the colorful handbags and totes. I also have several leather satchels. My latest Vera Bradley I got from the Thrift Store for $10:
b. Pajamas or night gown?
More like sleep shorts and a tank, even in winter.
c. Shoes: sturdy or pretty ?
Well, right now, since I am on my feet, I wear clogs or my tennis/Sketchers shoes at work
d. home decor: classic, modern, farm house style, traditional?

| Old photo. I've since added more signs, stay tuned for an update; I am taking some time today to change out things for the season. |
e. Movies: feel good, drama, romance, action?
I like a wide arrange of movies. It just depends on the mood.

Linda, I loved reading your answers this morning. I was sitting here thinking about what is different about me and my family and friends. I guess I could say for me is that though I am very outgoing, never meet a stranger and love to socialize I can also very much be alone. I can do things by myself or I can do things with others but truthfully, I can entertain myself and I often find that I'd rather be alone in my own little world. I loved reading your answers today. Making me think a little. LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteYou nailed it, Cindy. Not that I am overly outgoing, but if I like you, you will know it right away and that goes for not liking someone too. Life is too short for me to fake it, lol.
DeleteMy Tom's a social butterfly, too. (Wish sometimes I had one of those hooks to drag him off stage. LOL) I love your kitchen, and can't wait to see the reveal!
ReplyDeleteGreat questions and answers today... much the same here... have a good one Linda.. :)
ReplyDeletePretty shoes? Like what? I own more than my fair share of Skechers and am beginning to feel frumpy.
ReplyDeleteI crack up over this.. YOU reminded me.. yes men say we are the talkers, but everywhere we go I sit in the car waiting for Lynn to finish talking to the guys!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed it. Lynn is always the last to leave when we are go places.. He is always chatting a way!
ReplyDeleteHubs is always the last to leave .. Cant quit talking!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right... Every time we are with friends, I end up sitting in the car waiting for Lynn to finish the men gab session! Schotzy
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your answers. I smile and laugh a lot but I'm very much a loner with spouts of social butterfly thrown in. *lol*
ReplyDeleteIt seldom happens but I had a sleepless night and today I'm tired. Hate that when it happens.
Love & Prayers xx
You would be so much fun to get to know in person. I hope we get to do that someday! I have always been rather outgoing, but now at my great age I like being at home and not having to worry about what to wear or what to cook or anything that requires too much forethought on my part. I think it's called being retired...or lazy...or both. Ha ha. Shoes..yes, comfort is the name of the game for me. I have big feet so I never wanted to attract much attention to my feet. Okay, that's all folks. Bye for now. It's been a long week. And it's only Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteLove your kitchen.
ReplyDeleteOh girl, you know I love me some purses! And I love me some Vera Bradley. She used to be huge around here, but seems to be dying off some. I have several purses and totes as well as a weekender and garment bag. A couple have been gifts, but the rest I've thrifted. Oh wait, I did buy one on eBay a few years back. It came from China and was new in the plastic with a tag and all, but it's probably a knock-off. lol They are a bit pricier than $10 around here if you want one that's in very good condition. The crazy girls pay almost new prices for them at the auctions. Not this chickie.
ReplyDeleteFun questions and fun answers from everyone! Wishing you a good rest of the week, Linda! xo
ReplyDeleteI feel like the pretty people from my school are pretty normal now. They are much more likeable. I even work with some of them. We have quite a bit in common. Sorry your classmates are like that. Loved your answers. Have a nice week.

I don't think there is a thing wrong with being different. Different has served me well my entire life! Of course being different has also kept those who can't take the differences at bay!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, your pjs sound like mine. In winter I will wear regular warm pajamas, but then changed into cooler before bed. Smart choice about purses. I never buy expensive purses. Once I bought a Dooney and Burke at Disneyland only to take it back! I like your kitchen picture. I change things seasonally too. Just makes things more homey. Unique is good and better to embrace who God made us to be instead of trying to be who we are not! Enjoy the rest of your week! :)
ReplyDeleteLove oyur kitchen! I Need to decorate for Fall but I am waiting for the long weekend to have Avery help me get into the shed and find the Fall stuff. I hear it all the time, you have to much stuff, blah blah blah. My lifelong friend celebrated her birthday on August 22. ANother friend posted on sical media birthday wishes. But had photos of herself and her husband (weird) and one photo of Lynette at the end of her post. My husband was cracking up laughing. They had a big reunion last weekend. No thank you. I would just get into a fight with one of them over the Jab or something political. Last reunion 10 years ago a gal I went to high school with asked me why I was not retired. In my mind I said "Well June, not all of us can marry the chief of police and live a life of luxury." My husband gave me that look like, uh oh! HaHaHa then a guy I knew from the kindergarten, I approached him and simply said hi Gary blah blah blah. His wife nearly put my eye out with her wedding ring which resembled the Hope Diamond (hahaha). I said chill out girl, ZI went to kindergarten and Catholic school with your husband. I have my own, see that's him over there. Many of the popular girls the nuns favored have had multiple failed marriages then there is poor poor me, with a 37 and half year old marriage to one guy. Maybe that's why they don't like me. LOL! I have good purses and knock offs. I found a Kathy van Zeeland at the thrift store once for $5. It was perfect. It is blush pink and I Love it. Ibetter scoot so I can make tea before our =bedtime. Take care.
