***Updated at 3:35. well...got the call. Lost the house, it sold for over $30,000 asking price. Onwards Christian Soldier. smiles
So, we went and signed the papers for the house out in Canisteo. We decided to take a drive out there (5 miles) to make sure the driveway didn't wash out (and a thought, shouldn't it of been done before we signed? grin)
It had temporarily stopped raining. Although, heavy down pours and humid weather were the norm for the day. The ac's are on here. It has turned darn right humid.
There she is sits in all her glory.
The driveway was fine, no wash out, did a 3.2 turn and headed back down the hill. Not sure about winter, when we have 10 feet of snow on the ground how that will be. BUT it all depends on whether or not we get the house.
I pointed out there was a small parking spot at the bottom of the stairs. Hubby thought that was funny, "You really going to walk up and down the stairs in the snow?" Yeah, not. LOL
So, now we wait. The offer went in at 8 last night (offers weren't being accepted until then). The 4th time has to be the charm, right? We lost 3 previous houses due to the over inflated market. I am not really holding much hope at this point, because of the previous 3, just keeping it real. Thank you all for the kind thoughts on yesterday's post. smiles

Best of luck with the house.... :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bunk...will keep everyone posted. smiles
DeleteIf it is meant to be...
ReplyDeleteGotta say, those steps would do me in.
yeah, me too...going down won't be an issue but going up, yeah...nope. LOL
DeleteSending good thoughts on the house! If it is in the Lord's plan, then it will happen. Happy Friday, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin, totally agree. smiles
DeleteFingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne...if its in the good Lord's will... we shall see...
DeleteYeah, I'd pass on the stairs too. Old knees, you know. *wink* And very best of luck on the house. If it's God's will it will happen. If not, then praise Him for that too. He's saving that special place for y'all.
ReplyDeleteLove, Prayers & Hugs xx
Yeppers...so true. smiles
DeleteFingers crossed! When will you know something?
ReplyDeleteHmm...they have upwards of 3 days, so says the contract; yes or no. I am so afraid we will get outbid again...sigh---we should know by Sunday.
DeleteHope all goes the way you want. You're quote above reminds me of the title of a book by Stan Toler, "God Has Never Failed Me, But He's Sure Scared Me to Death a Few Times. lol
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I agree; "God Has Never Failed Me, But He's Sure Scared Me to Death a Few Times."---my husband has a favorite saying, "Wanna make God laugh? Tell HIM YOUR plans!"--he also said that the good Lord must have a sense of humor, grin (and we would never pretend to know what the Good Lord is thinking, just saying).
DeletePrayers lifted and fingers crossed, Linda. Keep us posted!!
ReplyDeletenope, lost it...sigh...onwards. I hope your new job is going well. Do you have to work out in the heat, Terri?
DeleteWell, now we wait, and PRAY!!! God knows exactly what He's doing, even when we don't. I agree with our friend Sparky above. (we Pamela's always seem to stick together). "He's saving that special place for you..." so just sit back and enjoy the ride. He will not fail you. I hope your new job goes very well. Can't wait to hear more about it. Sending you (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteI hope you get it. The market is crazy.
ReplyDeletePrayers that everything will work out the way it is supposed to. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe housing market is the same here. My nephew has been looking and everything is going for way over list. Very frustrating.
ReplyDeletePraying for you with this house!
