Good morning from a rainy western NY where there is talk of another shutdown (not that we are truly open, mind you). Our county is under a yellow warning. I think I have mentioned (or not) I have decided to keep the #1 retailer job for now due to the threats of the schools closing at Thanksgiving. I am online in the evenings helping with virtual homework assignments for the school system. ANYWAYS...onwards to the Meme.
Lets discuss Kindness ... Tuesday Meme started by Toni and kept going by Ann.
Do you put up birds houses or have a bird feeder or bath?
I have bird feeders in the house...they are so pretty , I don't dare put them outside. I will do a post about them later. I am just too darn lazy to take a photo of them.
The bible says your domesticated animals are to eat before you do since they cannot provide for themselves , what pets do you have and when do they eat?
We have a German Shep. named Coffee and he eats Purina for Mature Dogs- Lamb and Rice
Do you feed the birds in winter?
Nope...because there are no birds here in the winter.
How can we show kindness to others? Suggestions?
Of course...smiles, saying hello, leave a note, leave a love note, Paying it forward, etc. I deal with mean and rude people, folks who curse me out, folks who call me bad names etc. every single day and believe me, its best to just let those folks go on with their miserable days/life. You are the

I'm thankful for those who like you who have to grin and bear it each and every day. I've worked like that in past, and found to just keep smiling. :)

Thank you Sally...I hope you have a beautiful day friend. smiles
DeleteYesterday everything came out good for my husband.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers today.
Have a good Wednesday my friend.
That is awesome, Gloria...so glad to hear it. Keeping in prayer, smiles.
DeleteMy daughter is reduced to tears at least once a week, as library patrons chew her out and swear at her when she asks them to put on a mask. (Although I'm not on the page of masks, she is just doing what her library director has instructed her to do.---she did not make the policy). And this ugliness is in good old red-state Idaho. I'm sure it is much worse for you.
ReplyDeleteUnfort. Patti, it is what it is, right? Folks in general are just fed up with all this nonsense. I understand about your daughter; there are plenty of times when I am at the door. NOW, let me tell you, there is a mask mandate, HOWEVER, it is NOT LAW. I can not enforce it. So there. A lot of folks think they have no choice, but they do...smiles
DeletePeople are quite irritable and cranky these days, which is understandable, but I don't like them taking it out on you. Whatsa matter with them anyway?!
ReplyDeleteYour German Shepherd is very much loved and well taken care of. I didn't know that the Bible said that! 😳 I think I may have done it that way just so pets wouldn't be in my plate.
Birdhouses in the house?I have one in the house, too, where the spiders live. 🥴
It looks as though rain may be coming this way...it's gone cloudy all of a sudden. Keep looking up!
Shrugging about the people. Who knows...all I know is, when I am allowed to be on door duty, folks have had enough, period. AND the mask thing is not enforceable, contrary to popular belief. There is not a LAW just a mandate. Same with not allowing folks in without one, I CAN NOT LEGALLY TELL ANYONE NO your not allowed in. ANYWAYS...Yep, I have given the spiders homes too, LOLOLOLOL.
DeleteThe few times I've worked in retail, it was interesting. Most folks are easy going and kind, but then there's a few that just tempt me to slap a knot on their heads. Yeah, best to let them be mean, then walk away. Drives them nuts, which makes me smile. LOL
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm glad you can keep the retail job. Doesn't sound good for staying open (not that it is open) up y'alls way. Gov. Kemp (R-GA) promises to not do that again. Good boy.
Love & Prayers xx
Sigh, my hairdresser was just telling me that there will be another shut down, they heard it too. Cuomo is rattling his chains again, so that means no hairdressers will be open, just us essential workers. EVERYONE is scared, we are coming up in winter for petes sake, where it takes natural fuel to heat ones homes.
DeleteWe had a shepherd once and they are beautiful dogs! I took not of the Vet treats. Our furbabies have to have a treat. They give us so much love. Mask mandates here is Calif. We were at Downtown Disney yesterday and loved seeing all the Disney mask. Looking forward to the day we don't have to wear them!
ReplyDeleteI agree...oh I like seeing all the diff. masks, I just can't wear them. A lady at work makes the genie type masks, I wear those. smiles
DeleteI have been reading that in posts about animals should eat first... anyone have the citation? Just curious.
ReplyDeleteI think Bunk, its in the Jewish religion...but I did find this; https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/1008420/jewish/Feeding-Animals.htm
DeleteIt is based on Deuteronomy 11... and you shall eat and be satisfied. Domesticated animals are taken into your care and therefore fed first as they are a responsibility to you as you are to God.
DeleteThe shutdowns are evil. Trump should have done something about them long ago. They are designed to destroy business around the world for a financial reset. Its a huge ugly scam that has people become germophobes who live in terror! Cruel. Thanks for joining in. The rule about animals is from Deuteronomy. It is more clear in Hebrew than English I think bu t it is there.
DeleteThanks Linda....wondered if I missed something in my biblical education... :)
DeleteI found it Annie (about the animals)--don't even get me going about this covid nonsense. sigh. Your welcome Bunk, smiles
DeleteOh Linda! When I worked in hospitality, I used to think guests were the RUDEST. (Maybe not so?) I realize (some) people's venom isn't directed at me, personally, their words wound. Don't let the ******** get you down!
ReplyDeletelol thanks Myra. smiles
DeleteYes, keep the retail job. I am just laughing my head off here about Cuomo rattling his chains. He is something else. I want to say to him, "Nana nana boo boo, I thought you did such a good job in New York, what happened?" But he would just blame it on Trump. We're not thrilled with the ten people gathering limit, I mean, we have sixteen kids, 12 of them local, with spouses, 6 grandkids local...
ReplyDeleteOh isn't he something. sigh. We have been wearing masks for 8-9 months now and the spread is still happening, you tell me whats wrong with this picture, right? As for your family--NO ONE will tell whom to have in my home, just saying.
DeleteThey encourage us in my neighborhood to NOT feed the wildlife because the food tends to draw in the good and the bad wildlife (tree rats, for one). So while it's a lovely thought to see the pretty birds at a yard feeder, I just watch them flit about in the trees and that's enough for me.
ReplyDeleteHope your folks get through the storm tonight with no damage.
Barbara, like I was telling Terri, I had no idea there was a storm! I am trying to keep my head above water working two jobs...keeping yu both in prayer.
DeleteI think anywhere you work with people you end up with that. My husband is in retail and sometimes comes home and says - "it was too peoply out there today!" I get it from patients and family too.
ReplyDeleteSorry about more restrictions. I think we're headed that way too!
"too peoply" LOVE IT! SMILES. Yeah...Cuomo just imposed new restrictions...sigh...
DeleteHi Linda. Good to hear from your. Our Covid rates are spiking again here - but no real shut down. Statewide mask mandate and more testing. Hoping the vaccine gets here soon. I think we have Trump to thank for the vaccine getting developed so quickly. Giving credit where it is due. :-) Cloudy, snowy, rainy day here - a little bleak. Feeling a little down. Hope the election is settled soon. Have a good one.
ReplyDeleteWell, Deb...we are 8-9 months into this thing, been wearing masks for that long...you tell me...do masks work? Cuomo just imposed new restrictions, and the threat of a looming shut down is real...sorry, not buying the mask thing anymore. ANYWAYS---Yes, I have a bad attitude of this; my inside of the nose is raw, acne issues, asthma issue...its just ongoing...sigh.
DeleteI am thankful for YOU, Linda!!
ReplyDelete...and YOU!!!! smiles. thankful of you.
DeleteI think Coffee is a fantastic dog name!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne. smiles
DeleteGood Morning. I am trying to get around and visit everyone today as I have missed you all this past week while we were away. On our trip we had several places where we had to put on masks (in GA), but for the most part it was not required. I couldn't get over the people wearing masks while hiking up and down a very steep and tedious trail up to the summit of the mountain. We only came down the trail, and had taken the shuttle up. (thank goodness). I even told one person they really ought to take off their masks while climbing up that hill so they could breathe better. I mean, we were at 4,000 feet altitude! I could hardly breathe even w/o the mask! They just kept going and didn't pay me any attention. I figure they may have passed out at some point and rolled back down the mountain. LOL. (I laugh because anyone that stupid probably deserves to have a good passing out spell to knock some sense into them.) Then to see people (women!) carrying babies and toddlers up that incline, wearing masks and juggling kids and diaper bags...well, let's just say I felt pretty smart after seeing that... Anyway, I hope your governor gets his comeupance one of these days. I've never seen such arrogance before, unless it is his younger brother. Glad you kept your "day job". Praying people will just chill and be nice to you. You need to wear a big smiley mask so they have to smile when they see you. Take care my friend. Sorry to ramble on so long. Making up for all the days I haven't been here rambling on. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteOh I have said way too much here today! I try to stay positive but when I hear the bobble heads nodding with the masters of their states it is hard to zip my lip. SO I do pray. Only God can right these wrongs. Jobs are going to be more and more scarce so I am very grateful the hubby still works although I worry for him if violence breaks out again. ONe of our kids works in insurance and they are having layoffs already. The second the election was over they started trimming. Fortunately although I am not a fan of corporate suits, the hubby works for the big boys on 17th Street and they trim the fat at the top and work their way down. When they get to the bottom they realize without those worker bees their business would be in the dumpster of life. So I appreciate that. I am very nice unless I am confronted. One day the older gal in little Wally World as we call it berated me in front of two customers. I whipped out my tape measure. My hubby is 6 feet tall, I am old, I am not stupid so zip your lip honey. She never forgot me and then I started to do pick up for groceries so I do not have to deal with the noise. The kids who bring your groceries out are super sweet and always pleasant to deal with. I try to go to Target in person anyway so it all works out. My hubby said during the election if everyone wore Trump 2020 masks those masks would be forgotten. My honey has a great article regarding doctor Faucci and his 1950 practices of medicine. Written by a gentleman from MIT. I had a friend who attended MIT,they are in their own world but rarely wrong in their thinking. Even Stephen Hawking, before he passed away warned about artificial intelligence. I wonder if it was implanted in some of these goofy governors and mayors walking into their oblivion state of mind. Sad Sad Sadder ;-(
