Friday Photos

I hope that your Thanksgiving was a good one. Do you know, I forgot to take photos of the food and us...however, I did catch a before and another one...and I know most of you saw this on FB, so bare with me.

I had originally planned for total of 5. However, my brother in-laws girlfriend never showed up. Nonetheless, I served buffet style and used the homemade different colored plates (from a local artisan from the village of Alfred, up the road from us.) We had turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, herb Provence stuffing, candied yams, green been casserole, mac and cheese.

My brother in law loves me so much, he makes my favorite, his /their late grandmothers Ambrosia, without nuts. My son affectionately calls it, "Mama's crack." Keep y'all greedy little hands off my crack Ambrosia, lolol. I'll plead the fifth on that one, lol. We also had homemade pumpkin pie and apple pie and my brother in law also bought a selection of Cheesecakes.

Unfort...I wish I could show you a pretty Christmas table, however, after cleaning up after Thanksgiving, it quickly became my "finish my paper" table. And will remain so until Dec. 17 until the last paper gets done. I am currently writing about James Madison and his contribution to the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

Goodbye to Fall and Thanksgiving and onwards to winter and Christmas.

Hubby is busy putting the lights on the Christmas tree and soon the outside.

We will finish decorating it later today when I get home from "work" at the museum. I can't really call it work, as I love it a lot...so its not work.

Have a lovely day all.

  4. Those plates are wonderful! I haven't had ambrosia in ages and now can't eat sugary or salty things anymore.

  6. Ambrosia...the food of the gods...love that stuff! Sounds like a fine Thanksgiving. Your dishes must be very special and are reminiscent of Fiestaware. Praying that those papers come together beautifully and sooner than the 17th. The tree is beautiful. Your husband is doing a great job.
