Currently Saturday

Good morning. Another warm one on tap and then the bottom falls out come Monday, so says the weatherman. It's Currently Saturday...boy did the week fly by.

Weather-59* and dense fog.

Watched-college football last night (hurray for Indiana!) and Lottery Dream Home and the news.

***stayed up way past midnight...so it was like a total 20 hours I was awake yesterday. 5 am to like 1 am.

Reading-hadn't even cracked open that Debbie Macomber book yet.

Listened to-I just love my subscription to Sirus. Love, love, love it.

Thinking-
1. not much of anything really. It is a bit early for me, 7:15 am😁😉. However, hubby wants to go to Home Depot or Lowes to pick out a kitchen sink and so me the butcherblock countertops he picked out at Home Depot. We thought about driving down to Orlando to Ikea. But that was axed. I really don't have the energy to deal with that traffic. None. Zip. Zero. Ocala is enough to deal with.

2. Recap: So glad it was Friday (yesterday)--by 5 I was ready to get out of there and so happy the Sgt. came and got the inmates because the chow hall was going to close by 5:30 and if he didn't take them then, they wouldn't get anything to eat. It was a blissful hour of peace before I headed out.

3. Recap: I had to laugh Thursday because I went over the Monroe Doctrine --1/2 of my students/inmates looked at me like I had two heads. I said, "Guys, remember, we discussed briefly the Venezuela issue yesterday?" The look on their faces was priceless.

Grateful-for my husband who takes care of everything, so I don't have too.

He bought an apple strudel from Aldi and baked it...it was so good.

Making me laugh:

That is all I got...have a beautiful day. Hopefully I can play catch up with your blogs soon.

Running around...

Good morning and thank you for your kind comments yesterday.

Yesterday was one of the days that I was perpetually running around like a chicken without its head (apologies for that thought that popped up in your head). It seems the motto "Hit the ground running" and "putting out fires" is indeed the truth. For whatever reason, I just couldn't catch a break from this to that. I was so happy when the officers showed up at 5:45 to take the inmates and got out to my car at little after 6. Let me tell you, thanking the good Lord has become my mantra.

The inmate's do get the news and are very enthused about the Venezuela topic...so a short Monroe Doctrine lesson will be given today. I did touch on it a little yesterday and have to go back and correct myself / the class on something. And that's ok to admit when one is wrong and I was wrong (and owning up to the fact I had to relook at my college notes/papers--because something was nagging me).

That's all I got for the day. 🙄😉
