Currently...

 Currently at 6: 45 am

***updated at 7 am--it is pouring thunder storming out. Wow, is it ever.

Weather...it's a rumbling out there. Good, we need it. We are in a drought here in central Florida. It is 70* with 87% humidity.

Listening to...the thunder. Come on rain!!!

Watching...nothing. Yesterday after we got home from the store and haircuts, we watched a marathon of NautiStyles on You tube TV

NOT Loving...this new Gemini whatever from Microsoft, the new interface/updated browser. It seems Blogger is no longer allowing Spell Check.

Loving though/Celebrating...my haircut. I had had enough of trying to let it grow long... I just go thru these phases of lying to myself about having long luxurious hair again. Nope, not going to show it because 1. I just woke up and 2. It needs to be washed and 3. I hate my photo taken...but its collarbone length, it's called a layered Bob:

I thought my husband was going to die when he was sitting there watching this happen, lol. Mac kept on cutting and cutting, LOL. ANYWAYS, He-the hubby likes it now.

Grateful...which brings me... to a barber (yes barber) who knows how to deal with baby fine thin hair. It had been 8 weeks since my last trim and my hair was driving me mad. ANWYAYS, I was not very happy though when I walked in and the employees were talking about the mysterious owner of said saloon. Sorry folks, I do not like to hear gossip or complaints of any kind. I let Mac do his thing and prefer to be quiet. Loose lips sink ships, period. I am not one of those people who will gossip at the saloon.

Thinking...You know, some things just me want to scream...case in point. ANOTHER breaker is not working and that makes 3. The dining room, the 3rd bedroom and now the laundry room don't have electricity. We worked feverishly yesterday afternoon to figure it out. Sadly, the electrician will be out on Thursday. And it will be expensive. ***on that note, we are keenly aware of the fire prospect.

Feeling...

I ate something yesterday that is not agreeing with me...so meh is the word of the day.

Celebrating/Enjoying...nothing really-the weekends are just too short.

Laughing at...

...and at this point until the day I die. LOL

...and I guess I am happy to be able to wear flip flops or sandals every single day.

Have a beautiful day all.
***and I am fine...just keeping it real in reference to working/affordability.

May Already? Hodgepodging into May..

Good morning...I can't believe it is already May. Since I am in a bit of a brain fog at the moment and didn't get a chance to post anything this week, how about the Hodgepodge?

1. My very first edition of The Wednesday Hodgepodge was published on November 10, 2010 (linked here if you're curious). Tell us something about your life from that era.

Has it been that long? Wow...anyways, living in Alabama, homeschooling, being a housewife. Not really much to tell, I vaguely remember that post by the way.

2. What's a song you love that relates to time in some way?

Sweet Home Alabama. Since our son was born and raised in Alabama...it became the family anthem, if you will. There is a line in there that goes, "Does your conscience bother you?" Why, sometimes son yes, it does...I know, I am probably not answering the question correctly, but whenever that song gets played, it brings me home to Alabama, that is the longest place we ever lived, 19 years. So, yeah, time wise, it just brings back memories.

3. May is nearly upon us. When did you last need to yell 'MAY DAY-MAY DAY!!'?

Yesterday. I had to call security to my classroom. A fight broke out between inmates. One inmate ran out before security got there, and other was taken out in cuffs. AND I had to write tons of reports, and we all know how much I despise paperwork.

4. How do you feel about food trucks? Love them. Is this a dining experience you enjoy? Yes. Do you have a favorite? Yes, out here in a nearby neighborhood, Marion Oaks, there is a complete set up of food trucks. What's something you've ordered from a food truck? Just last night, my hubby was going to make tacos, but he forgot some things, so, instead we went to our local food truck Taqueria Taco Rio. Yummy, good, for 4 tacos each, it was only like $12. It's sad though, the folks know us by name, LOL.

5. We're bidding farewell to April...what are three adjectives you might use to describe the month you're leaving behind.

Ample Attitudes

Blossoming Flowers/Fauna

Hello Uplifting Beach

Hopeful

6. Insert your own random thought here.

The start of May finds me being told I will be back in my old job i.e. Mandatory Literacy. The inmates are not responding well to the girl who took over...so, hopefully he will hire someone soon for the position I am at so I can go back to major chaos and no office space. Back to living out of whatever. I might had voiced my opinion--and I probably shouldn't fight it...nor will I. I can't help thinking:

I also will be heading down to Orlando in July for a week for an education conference. Staying in a fancy 5-star hotel...it's a working week, no time for enjoyment.

Remember, Bloom where you are planted.
Have a great day all.
