Lost Days...

 So, it seems I have lost days...thinking yesterday was Tuesday, lol. Good early morning from Orlando. It sure thundered and lightened yesterday evening, although it never did rain. Watching the sky from my 4th floor room was pretty cool. Anyways, photo overload today.

The hotel grand staircase. Yeah, no way, no thanks, I have decided to stick to the multiple elevators. Multiple elevators that only take you to ones floor. My elevator is 2-8. Hmm...I might have to take a picture of that, pretty cool in my opinion. lol

So, I decided to go on an adventure after we were let out at 4, so I quickly left one of the ballrooms, went to my room and changed shoes, came back down, passed the staircase and headed right back towards to the ballrooms. And towards that sign that said Convention Center.

Turned right and then a quick left to the escalators.

Voila on the catwalk to the Convention Center. Actually, I will say, I am pretty proud of myself.

Apologies, by the time I got to the Convention Center, I forgot to take photos as there was some kind of event going on regarding those young men in red jackets. I have been noticing these young people at the hotel. Apparently, another leadership conference, some kind of young adult leadership, I will have to look at their jacket's today. ANYWAYS, they struck up a conversation and they were more enthused with the fact I work for the Dept. of Corrections. LOL

Made it back to the hotel and here is the pool area. No, I have not been in it. I absolutely forgot my bathing suit.

I had planned on going out in the evening to take photos and walk again to the Convention Center as this area is quite beautiful in the evening. But it was started to thunder and lightning and decided to call it a night. This is the view out of my window. There is an amusement park across the street by the Convention Center (that is the catwalk/walkway to the Center you see lit up). I will try to get out later this evening. As for safety, it is pretty safe here. The hotel does have police and security. Well, that is all I have for today and Terri, you said you have been to the Convention Center and ate at an Italian Restaurant, I do believe it's still there.

Tuesday 4

 Good early morning (4:30 am) from Orlando where it's still dark outside. I am so used to getting up early, that it was just natural for me to wake up at 4 am. My day will start at 9 and go until 4. I will try to take more photos of the lovely hotel. And on a P.S. I will not post Unknown or Anonymous comments, I find it rather rude you know my name, but I don't know yours. Until then, The Tuesday 4.

I know I showed this yesterday evening, but the view from my 4th floor room last night, I left the drapes partially open and the lovely lights from another hotel and a roller coaster and Ferris wheel from a local attraction was quite nice. Anyway, summer in Florida.

1. How has summer been so far?  Ok, it's hard to believe its July already. Has it been easy or hard or are things moving along as usual?  Just moving along as usual. Is the weather getting you down or are you enjoying it so far? Ugh, this is Florida, so its humid as all get out. But other than that, I try really hard to not let it get me down.

2. What have you been doing this summer?  Well, since hubby put a pool in, been wasting away in that in the evenings and weekends. And now, I am in Orlando for a week.  Even the little mundane things count. Yes, they are sure, Annie. For instance, my SUV's map system took me all the way into Maitland, 10 miles past Orlando...I was so frustrated as Orlando is a very confusing system of never-ending highways and turn offs...apparently, I missed my turn and called the husband...he talked me thru it. smiles--NOT that is mundane mind you. But it did bring me back to being calm and not being upset. I found that I am very "mundane" person, LOL.

3. What are you going to do? Well, I have a full day starting at 9 am and going until 4pm of classes and conference stuff.  I know you don't mean today, per say. What interests you this summer? Nothing really, it's just too hot. Ask me again come Oct.-Jan. seems to be the best time here in Florida regarding very little humidity--after the hurricanes plow thru.

4. It's been hot in most of the country, how are you weathering the heat?  With central ac and pool time, LOL. What are your ideas for staying cool in the hottest weather of summer. See previous answer, LOL.

So, a funny start to yesterday. While standing in line to check in, I heard someone calling my name (oh hello, I was thinking...I don't know anyone here.) It was the former warden who is now a director of programs for our region. Wow, I was super impressed. Truly touched. As I haven't seen or spoken to her like in 2 years. Anyways, after a warm hug and greetings, she is really doing well. And then, I got this:

A challenge coin. Wow...was floored. I am so honored.

...and to think, (thinking what "Unknown" said) about quitting over this summit/conference. Hey, all I am going to say, information was really never forthcoming about this week. With that, I will leave you...
