Sunday Salon

Thank you all for the kind comments on yesterdays yard sale. As for house hunting, we have decided to slow it way down until like January or so...give it 6 months and save money etc. Nothing Earth shattering to discuss, so I will keep it rather simple.

anyways, I am getting in line of that way of thinking.

Time: 6:45 am

Weather: 60* and sunny,  but rain will be moving in this afternoon.

Drinking: my first cup of

with Italian Sweet Cream

Listening to: All is quiet here, I do hear a train off in the distance.

On tap for the day: Heading into work at 8 am-4:30. Have tomorrow off.

Pondering:

1. Nothing really. I am though thinking of tomorrow  and downsizing some things, cleaning, getting rid of things etc. After 8 years of living in this place, and collecting stuff, its time. IF or whenever we get our own place, the thought has occurred to us that we have a lot of stuff to move.

2. Since the mixing bowls are highly collectible, I have gotten rid of the other bowls and other things that I am not using and have replaced them with quality items. That was the plan all those years ago when I was a young stay at home mom and no outside income coming in and had very little money, now that I am working and providing extra money, I can afford better quality ((not meaning to brag)). It might be a tedious and physical job, but I do like making money and providing the extra things that we have been going without all these years.

3.

TMI, Recently discovered I am indeed lactose intolerant. However, I am allergic to almond and soy...so, been drinking and using Organic Milk made right here in NY. I also changed some other things up for myself as well...since I pretty much stock shelves all day, I have been reading labels and seeing the interesting items out there.
The best organic milk out there, jmo, of course. It does not upset my system one bit.

I hope each of you have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by.

Well...that was eventful

Well...that was eventful. We got a late start on yard sales this morning as it was pouring rain when we got up. North Hornell (the ritzy side, lol) was suppose to have a city wide yard sale, unfort. only one lonely house was participating. No bother...we still visited and bought a car/SUV load of stuff back.

I had to snap a photo off my phone. For whatever reason, email isn't syncing.

Came back with a portable ac unit. This is our second one we purchased, the couple were moving (the house had sold) and they have central ac in the new house-$45. I'll take it. They are generally over $200-400. Yep, it works. So much better than the window ac's. So, now we are down to 2 window ac's and 2 portables.

Super duper heavy gun cabinet (back of it)-$36. The lock was broken, hubby is putting a new lock on it as I write this.

Vintage nesting Pyrex bowls $20. I about fell over when I read that price, why? Generally, the large yellow nesting bowl goes for $22-25 by itself. I asked the lady was she sure...she said "Yes" she don't need them anymore. Cool beans. Score.

Then a Nicole Miller quilt set. I snapped the photo off the bag, when we got home, I quickly thru it on the Delicate cycle in the wash. She wanted $15, but took $5. Again, she said she had no need for it anymore.

I hope each of you are having a beautiful day. Thanks for stopping by.
