Monday Good Tidings

By the time you view this, I will be long gone to work.

Since I am gainfully employed this Christmas Season, unlike previous seasons, I left the Christmas decorating to two grown men this year. So, I will share...and nope...not going to critique things nor "fix" things.

There is a Poinsettia in the Trifle Bowl. Interesting, ok...than... moving on.

They decided to hang Merry Christmas on either side (this view is from the kitchen looking into the dining/family room)

Speaking of kitchen. They put a Christmas color theme. My son, "You know, there is a draft coming in that kitchen window, so we decided to make it red and green." Ok then...

Ok, I lied...I did "fluff" up this area. Unfort...it now looks like this (below)--since my chair was taken out for the tree, I have no place to put my bag from work or my jacket, gloves, scarf etc.

and lastly, the tree.

All in all...I think they did a good job. I am wondering though, where the huge Nutcrackers went that usually stand at guard at the entrance way...no one seems to know what happened to them (oh they do, but me thinketh they-the elves got tired).

The tree topper got replaced with the Christmas Angel that our landlady gave us.

Oh and the Candy Cane wreath. She knows hard decisions are coming up...

Frosty Sunday Salon

Running a bit late, I decided to sleep in on this very frosty morning (both in weather and in general attitude-read below). I did receive your emails and IM's for your addresses, outgoing this week, smiles (still running behind in answering emails).

Time: 9:45 am

Scene: 27*, real feel 19*, cloudy.

Drinking: My second cup of

with Italian Sweet Cream

Today's Plan:

Christmas Cards

Staying in PJ's

Rummaging through the freezer finding something for dinner (what's for dinner is already being asked, grin).

Listening to: Hubby discussing 200+ Republicans and their families who are being doxed for their beliefs/standing up for Trump. He is also discussing the President's latest Rally in Georgia.

Reading:

I went over Friday afternoon after work to the Wimodaughsian Free Library in Canisteo  (7-10 min drive). Rumor has it our library will reopen tomorrow. I said rumor has it. I need to get back to reading to relax. This book is the latest in the series.

Pondering: The 'little incident' at work yesterday. Freak accident. I told them and them this was an accident awaiting --did they listen? Nope...and the accident happened to me. Management moved us Health Ambassadors to the cart corral (since our store is a small Walmart, the cart corral sits in between the entrance and exit) and it had been/was snowing and icy last night. Lo and behold, because the floor was very wet (the Stockmen could  NOT keep up) they were bringing in the carts and they slid---right over my right foot. Yep...I will NOT show you the foot or the toes. I have to say, I have never seen a grown man pick up 30-40 carts so fast and throw them-in my whole life. Yeah...well...Mr. Desi aka hubby is not very happy with Mrs. Lucy (Lucyyyyyyyyyy!!!)  and the store right now. Mr. Desi has ordered me to put in my 2 week notice--FINAL notice tomorrow. He has had enough of the mistreatment and abuse as he calls it. "But, but, but" has become my mantra---and he said, "LINDA (LUCY!!!) there are no Buts anymore. That management has issues that remain unresolved.

I am afraid, I most def. was not listening to the Christmas Spirit after that happened last night. The poor Stockman,  he feels really bad. It was a freak accident, albeit, awaiting to happen. It so happened to me. My husband, "Are you listening to the good Lord now, Linda? Did he wake you up?"
